I think it depends what you're after. If you're looking for sex and a bit of fun then no, I don't think age matters in the slightest. (Though I've never been with anyone more than 20 years in either direction.) But if you're after a life-partner then I think it is best to find someone of roughly the same generation - after all, it might be great when he's 50 and you're 25, but what about when you're 60 and he's 85?

:wanker: hump kiss
On the subject of age, its the chemistry that matters to me. I've been with a 23 yr old girl, & some up to about 49. I'd be happy to go a lot higher than that, as there are some superb looking women in their 60s. :P :P
And I would agree that posts on the Forum are ripped apart for their content, not because of the age of the poster.
i have to completly agree with you, who cares about age, i know i dont, i am 36..going on 19/80, so i cover most age groups on my own, i feel that i can hold conversations with all age groups.
but ageist...i'm not
I don't think it's ageist to admit that you just don't really fancy people who are older or younger generally. I have never really noticed/fancied people who were older than me, even when I was in my teens I was afraid of people in their 20s. Silly I know, but I can't explain it. I certainly wouldn't exclude some one by age on principle, if on meeting them it was all fine. It's just it tends not to happen... confused

We just had the most wonderful 4 days with a guy who is 2 years older than my dad. No complaints from any of us.

Indeed! The best part for me was discovering that my prior apprehensions surrounding his visit were totally unfounded. However, I must admit that I was a bit shocked when he'd revealed having become a greatgrandfather.
~Reese! surprised

When you say you drawn to older people how old are you then Rainbow?x

Essex_lad - I am 37! I don't have any actual "preferences" - I just find that I am normally drawn to people (okay - women) in their 40's. I still have to find out why though!! lol
Wow Rainbows thought you were younger than that

Someone actually thought I was 26 in the pub a few months ago!! Okay - I was wearing clothes normally found on a 16 year old boy. But hey - I'm allowed to wear want I want surely dunno
Right now I FEEL about 269!! Too much work and the period from hell that has left me anaemic
We dont really like the idea of playing with people old enough to be our parents either, on the other hand we prefer people who are no younger than us, but, having said that have played with people who are in early 20's. So we can be tempted.
(Rainbows, damn does that mean i'm too young for you - 29 lol )

Rainbows and her painting in the attic.
Bloody hell... I also would have put you in your 20's, bitch.
Bottom line is we all have different tastes, so we choose what we like. Be rather dull if we were all the same.
For my part I don't mind who contacts me, does not mean I'll end up in bed with all of them.
wink at 19,was with 33y/old40- 26 y/old 42 now 34 y/old age just a number, as long as you can laugh together, who cares

I was going to ask about age differences in swinging because I'm 22 and my potential swinging partner is 45. We're just checking out swinging at the moment to see if it is for us. We were concerned that we wouldn't have much interest because one of both of us are out of people's age ranges. Now I have found this thread I'm comforted to know that most people don't find age a problem. Thanks xx

Would you be as delighted if they told you were too old though Ice?
I know I'd feel more paranoid about being told I was too old than too young.

You get used to it after a while love, and then like me you start telling people you're too old before they have chance to say it lol
