When you've sat there... typed out a very nice reply to a thread you spotted... you click submit.... and a stoopid wee notice pops up on yer screen...... banghead

So it looks like we have all been victims of the LOOKED Thread.
So if so many of us normal people have tried to reply have we asked ourselves WHY has it been Locked in the first place.

Loads of us have had threads locked, for reasons either explained on thread or explained via PM. So what? At least we haven't all been banned, which is a possibility if one keeps questioning mods' decisions to lock threads. It's really not a big deal Bushwackers, no need to go on about it at every opportunity confused

And if you take note all i`m pointing out is that threads are locked when there is still interest in them Freckledbird, and most of the pm`s i have received are in support off not aganist my views, i always thought that swinging was supposed to be a liberal outlook on sex ? i may be wrong.
So because i just don`t conform with the mods stand on why some (not all) threads are locked i`m a bad person and need to be banned, i can say i`m a moderate and fair person in every walk of life ive been involved with and i have always been my own person and never gone with the flow unless i have believed it to be right and honest

you said "swinging was supposed to be a liberated outlook on life"... or somesuch.... but just so you are crystal clear.... this may be a swinging WEBSITE... but it aint swinging.... it's a tool, a place, a thing, something.. but not the physical act of swinging. And just as you get knobheads in clubs who think the rules only apply to others, and no means no , except for them.... then in this particular place look at the Mods like the staff at a club.... to keep numpties from being numpties and pissing off the regular clientele..
If you get a thread locked.... look on the bright side you weren't hoyed out of the place by the scruff never to darken the doors again.... and wonder how you managed it.... and then don't keep going on!

No doubt you will have had PMs from others who may object to threads being locked, that's to be expected.
Swinging is a liberated outlook on sex; what's that got to do with threads being locked? This has nothing to do with the kind of person you are in every walk of life.
You don't have to conform with the mods' opinions on why some threads are locked and some aren't, but you do need to abide by what they decide and stop moaning every time a thread is locked. I'm guessing you're particularly concerned because some of the locked ones have been yours. You've started threads on locked threads, if I recall correctly. You even once complained about a locked thread which was directed at me rolleyes

- even I could see the logic in not starting a post - the message would have got my attention if it had been sent via the PM system.

I am SO tired of people moaning on and on and on about locked threads!
We will continue to lock threads when we think it appropriate and normally (when we don't forget) PM people who have started the thread to tell them why. If we don't PM then it's cos we're fighting other fires somewhere else.
Now, can we move on from the continual whinging??? It's getting terribly tiresome.

Usually when a post is locked the reason is given by the Moderator who locked it. If your post/thread was deleted then it was most likely considered so pointless or such an infringement of the AUP that it should no longer remain on the site.
The possible reasons your post/thread was locked or deleted are too numerous to mention here, so we simply ask you to accept the decision and move on. What we certainly do NOT want to see is yet another post asking why your previous one was locked or deleted.

gawd it took me soo long to catch up with you's get to the end to find that somewhere along the line.. my post changed direction... actually to something that has been brought up in several other threads... as someone pointed out half way down page i FFS rolleyes

That is a sword which cuts both ways. The fact that a moderator does conform with you does not make him or her a bad person.
