Do you treat your missus as a lady .......or an equal evil .....
There is that time when she acts as a damsel in distress and your manly instincts surface to save her cool
But there are times when she acts as a damsel in distress and when you see through the play act she becomes your equal...
Have you ever given in..........or suffered the consequenses
I must confess to (trying) to treat Sappho like a damsel in distress as often as possible. She is, of course, immensely capable (as anyone who has met her will testify), but I was brought up to be rather chivalrous and I see it as my job to try and 'look after her' as much as I possibly can.
One thing I am glad of is that she doesn't go in for 'play-acting', so there is nothing for me to 'see through'. When it comes to discussions - whether it is business ideas or more esoteric matters - I definitely treat her as my equal, for the simple reason that she is!

Damn! I thought this was a Three Musketeers thread and we were off to save the honour of the Queen of France! duel

There's always Athos. :duel:I know! Wasn't he the vain, rather ineffectual one? Or was he the thinker?

Aramis was the one who wanted to be a priest. Athos was the one who couldn't keep his breeks on. :duel:

You never seen the pics of me in armour wielding my big sword (fnarr fnarr)?
Well my girlfriend and I are pretty equal and both feminine. However when I'm in a relationship I adore taking on the stereo-typical 'man' role at times.
I'm not talking about talking in a deep voice or wearing a false beard lol but I love to buy my gf flowers, carry things for her, pay for dinner etc etc.
This isn't because I have some desire to be a man, more because when I look at my gf I see a gorgeous woman who deserves to be treated like the classy lady she is and cared for in whatever makes her feel good.

Awww... that's really nice! If only everyone had such genuine feelings, wouldn't the world be a better place? :rose:

Equalled in fine measure by Will of the McWilliams - erstwhile of the 'It's OK to shoot a Welshman with a bow and arrow' brigade (If you dare!!)
