Ok, so is it bad that I am actually considering putting an ad in the Meets forum looking for someone to wine and dine me on New Years Eve.
Is it bad that I want to be so blunt about wanting to be treated to a good old fashioned date ... i.e. nice restaurant, wine after, hold the doors open blah blah ... the whole nine yards.
Bottom line is New Years Eve is nearly here and I do NOT want to be sitting home getting all maudlin about the fact that I am here and single. Yes, I love being single but it does get a little hard around the holidays.
Anyway, I guess I want to know ... would it be in bad taste to do it and there be no up front promises of any 'action'. Not saying there wouldn't be but don't want to mislead and promise it.

I am going to try to NOT be offended at that line of thought. Why don't you just be blunt and say my wanting a date for New Years Eve sounds like prostitution to you.
I can't see anything wrong with the ad. You've made it clear that there may be nothing more on offer than a pleasant evening with your company. I think that's far more honest than some young bimbo who leads a guy on in the pub all night then ditches him after he's paid for everything.

Thanks for that hun. Funny thing is though Lissa, I have at no point said that I am expecting the 'date' to pay for everything. It has just been assumed. lol. Also for the right company ..well ... who knows what might happen, just don't want any expectations. ;)

Seriously though, it makes a big difference to have some company on certain nights of the year (mainly xmas eve and new years eve) when you know that couples, friends etc are all out celebratating. Nothing worse than being stuck on your own.
Who has got a big house for a party? :lol:
Well, you will be happy to know ( I hope ) that I shall be dining with a rather nice sounding guy. I shall even be making a long ass drive to do it. ( wouldn't want to get in trouble for making him use his petrol now would I ;) )
