An announcement about the future of SH !!!

As you may have seen in the media recently, the government, as part of its pre-election campaign, is clamping down on internet use within the United Kingdom. They are concerned at the lack of laws relating to web sites and somehow feel it will be a vote winner to restrict the type of web sites freely accessible to the general public.
Some of these sites, such as child porn, we can all support the new laws, but they are attempting to close down all UK based Sex Sites. Swinging Heaven has been classed as a Sex Site!!!
Steve G and I have been involved in talks with our local MPs putting forward our view that Swinging Heaven is not a sex site, but is a forum for free speech and is almost educational. I have to confess that we have failed to have our classification changed and consequently we are going to be shut down on Monday 18th April 2005 at 0900.
Mark has been warned that he will face arrest if the site continues after this date.
So, the bad news is that we only have three more weeks of Swinging Heaven, but the good news is that Mark and his solicitor feel we have good grounds to appeal and could be back on line as soon as June or July.
I am so angry about this that I am finding it difficult to continue posting but if you want to read more about the new laws then click here mad

I really cant believe that they would allow this!! I know this is probably useless but if theres anything I can do to help out just ask confused

We heard about the plans on a Sky News documentary , but didnt realise how quickly the laws would be applied . If its of any help several of the larger 'Adult' sites hosted from the UK have started a petition and I suggest everyone at the site signs it and leaves a message on the forum .
