Hi people.
This is a RANT.

Can I ask (rhetorically): what in the name of Judas Iscariot's dildo lubricant is wrong with so many single men that *they put their ads in the 'Women Seeking Men' category*?!? For feck's sake, WHAT DO THEY THINK IS GONNA HAPPEN? Do they think it means (spot the hyphen smile

'women-seeking men'?? OR DO THEY REALLY BELIEVE THAT WOMEN LOOKING FOR MEN *ACTUALLY READ THROUGH ALL THE 'WOMEN SEEKING MEN' ADS*...?
For CRYING OUT LOUD, there are two more idiotic postings there now, just appeared:
286644 'Hi my names paul im a slim 41yr with nice shaven cock...'
276886 'Hi im kev im 31 and im looking for no strings fun im 6'1 shaved head stocky to musculer build...'
Yes, I know they look like they're both written by the same illiterate prat pretending to be two different people; but WHAT THE HELL is Mr Dumb-As-Rocks doing posting the stuff in WSM *in the first place*...? They do it because they assume that women will read through the ads as part of the process of developing their own ad. They hope that the women will spot the guys ad and jump on it as a ready made opportunity.
How do I know?
That's what I thought, I tried it and got busted by the SH cops. So there.

Eureka!
I`ve read and re read the category for the first time and think I`ve just understood why some guys put their advert here!
I don`t think they`re ALL trying their luck.
For the first time I can empaphise.
The category description isn`t quite foolproof.
In edit , some guys obviously think it`s where women look when seeking for men.

Description isn't foolproof??? But guidelines are crystal:

Please choose the correct category for your Photo Ad. For example, if you are a man seeking a couple then place the ad in the 'Men seeking Couples' category. We sometimes correct your errors (if we can be bothered), but it is becoming a full time job. If you place your ad in the incorrect category don't be surprised if your Ad(s) have been deleted and your account has been banned the next time you come to login.

Now what's not foolproof about THAT???
FFS - people need to read the stuff that Mark took the time to read. If in doubt read the instructions.

Well if you want green fields. Forests. Cool streams maybe you should try Hertfordshire. It seems the streams there are flowing with strawberry summat or other, and I forget the rest. dunno

About as much attention was paid to THIS as the the attention paid to the guidelines...Food for thought?
I was not condoning the incorrect choice of category, I was merely pointing out WHY I thought it occured.

maybe it is just me.... okay it is probably just me smile

:) but i fail to see that all of the ranting is going to do.....
how do you know that a) it wasn't a genuine mistake or b) they even use the forums?? so all of your bleating could be for nothing.....
what is higlighing the problem like that going to solve?? with respect to you if you had just reported the ad, the whole thing would have been dealt with quietly and efficently...
just think it if had been your ad and it had been treated and embarrassed like that?? would you have come back on the forum??? or would you have walked away?? in which case that is one less memeber with one less opinions and insights we have lost... and that is a shame....
