Are you too grown up to have fun?

Having spend a good hour or so at the weekend gathering leaves into a giant pile for no other reason that to go running through them and end-up rolling around in them having a leaf fight (who can shove the most down the other person’s top) and being looked at as if we were mad….
I am so glad that part of me has just never grown-up.
When you have friends around and there is snow on the ground outside, are you happy to just sit, drink and chat or do you secretly want to go outside and have a snowball fight?
Do you ever want to build a snowman (without doing it just to help the kids) and make snow-angels (probably rude ones though)?
When you get caught in the rain and are already wet, do you sometimes just get the urge to run though a puddle (though driving through a deep one is a must)?
Is there something you like to do that may be considered childish - but it just makes you laugh?
I love doing all those things. I'm worse than the kids when it starts snowing and I'm praying it snows deep enough to make snowmen
I refuse to grow up!

Buying Kids presents for xmas such as scalextric's or buckaroo, even if they're too old or not interested in them, just so you can re-live you're youth!! ehem, not that i would of course.

Ahhh - deep snow = deep joy biggrin
I love building sand castles and damming streams biggrin . I just love sandy beaches. :D I could play all day on a sandy beach.
living by the sea - playing 'dodge the wave' and coming home soaking wet.
Skimming stones until your ancient shoulder gives out biggrin
Grow up?
Why? dunno
I don't think I'll ever grow up and get all boring and serious, well not serious anyway.
It's one reason I love Mrs Kiss so much - we have the same insane and ever so slightly warped sense of humour. Most people don't 'get' me and my silly antics in the real world, but I love fun and laughing and making others laugh.

Same here
I love the snow
To the outside world - Yes, i'm a serious and sensible lady biggrin
Mr J thinks i'm a nutter, as i encourage the kids with things just so that i can have a go or show them how its done lol
There is one thing i haven't dared to do as yet but OMG at times have felt like it .....
Remember the add on tv (dont know what it was for now) the mum in the supermarket that just lays down and has an almighty paddy instead of the kid doing it - that one just makes me howl and i just think - ohhh to be that freee !!! :giggle: :giggle:
My friend actually did that once - before the advert was around. I wasn't with her at the time but apparently it was a classic.
We do all sorts of balmy things - wandering round the park doing David Attenborough style commentaries etc...
i do all sorts of mad stuff maybe i havnt grown up yet at 23 but still luv running through a huge pile of leaves jumping in puddles building snowmen and acting like a big kid i buy my son things that i want to play with (shh cant wait for the trampolene to go up on xmas eve obviously for safety reasons i will have to have a go first biggrin )
the drum kit and guitar that he got last year has been great fun on saturday we put busted on full blast pretending to play the drums and guitar while jumping around the front room :violin: the neighbours hate us :D :D :D i think its important to do daft stuff with (or without) your kids thats my excuse and im sticking to it right :P
i can be sensible and grown up i just choose not to be :!: :!: :!: :!:
Does stealing/moving road signs and traffic cones then putting them in peoples gardens count as childish/annoying or stupid?

Not done that for a while innocent
The most childish thing we do in this house are water fights
Ian and I ended up fully dressed in the kids paddling pool in the summer while the kids soaked us rotflmao

Makin smiley faces in peoples garderns with traffic cones and lights rocks!!
The day you can't find your inner child is the day you've got old!
So keep in touch with the kid you really are within I say! cool

I closed off a mates drive with signs, he wasn't amused redface
:giggle:
Hell no!
Why would anyone want to become sensible? Makes no sense to me! In Fact, myself and my best mate have become "Peter Pan & Winchy"....and have our own brand of "lost boys" who abjectly refuse to grow up. In fact she says "when you stop playing, you grow old", and a summer just isn't the same without some tomfoolery!
.......And not to mention the shocking pink lippy on the life sized gorrilla statue
Fluck. Come to think of it, we had our martial arts xmas party on saturday....and I have a vague recollection of having put an Ice cube down my instructors T-shirt :scared:
Extra padding tonight methinks!
And another thing! I went to the party in my pirate boots- with battery powered L.E.D xmas lights wrapped round them......just because I could wink

Only if you turn them up-side-down and put your foot in one so you can play the Captain Peg-Leg pirate game before they end up in the garden redface
lol

Nooooo I won't grow up.
We love doing silly and childish things.
I love water fights and I so lost a massive one this summer.
I blamed Timmy because he got rid of all my good guns last year because I kept ambushing him on his way in from work. lol
We like play doh and modelling clay lots, Timmy got a new spirograph last xmas and we can often be seen skipping down the street singing together.
Oh and the quilt monster makes appearances from time to time biggrin

How about we pick a day and allocate it as the S.H annual "do something bonkers" day?
It could make for an interesting yearly photo thread!
.......and not to mention giving a speech at my College xmas party whilst wearing two wreath shaped flashy xmas earring thingys in strategic positions!
I haven't grown up as many of the people on this site can attest. lol I'd love to make snowmen, but we haven't had enough decent snow in this country (or atleast in my part of the midlands) for about a decade..... sad
