After reading this I thought I would see what others thought. Read the link, and its not just in the Sun its in other papers too. lol
Nothing much suprises me anymore, but it seems the credit crunch does not affect some schools. This same school will no doubt be running various things this year, to raise money for the school. As we all know schools run tight on their budgets.
Think what 40 grand could have got for this school. Also this schools headmaster will no doubt be one of the major headteachers, who hate taking your kid out of school, for a holiday. But was quite prepared to let the kids have two days off, for a nice little jolly up.
But of course when it is not HIS money he is spending, he obviously has no guilt about spending others money. mad
The trip has been cancelled, but it is still going to cost the school £20k in cancellation fees.
What was wrong with using a local hotel or conference centre in the first place if the school did not have a big enough room to hold all these teachers / staff.

you have got to stop reading the sun, it's only there to wind you up! wink
why not use the assembly hall/ dining room where all the kids are squashed into, on a daily basis. if its good enough for our kids its good enough for the teachers. mad

Cos it is one of only a few papers who have the balls to print something like that.
Am sure we all like to know why some schools spend all their money eh?
A free jolly up to Spain.....very nice, as it said in another paper, why cant they use the school hall which is empty, as there certainly aint going to be any kids using it.
A tough life some people lead.
