Hi to you all,
I am a relative newcomer in here, well I have been viewing and answering the occasional ad for ages. But only recently become really serious about meeting people through the site.
Hence I thought it about time I began participating in here.
But enough of that...........is anyone else experiencing problems replying to ad's through the SH server?
I have tried on numerous occasions recently last two days especially........it doesnt seem to accept the attachment of the pics that we all need to get a reply. Without pic it goes through no prob'.......but with pic...it freezes...
Is it a server problem or is it my PC? which is quite new and fast!
Help ? anyone.
all the best and hope to meet some of you soon maybe.
Jeff
It was working fine for me last night - although admittedly I don't know if any of the pictures I attached were actually received...
I have an ad on the system and seem to be receiving replies with pics fine. That's not to say they all get through to me of course, the ones that don't I never know about confused
It sounds to me that if you're having problems with attaching pics to emails, it could be an email problem. I know someone using Lycos was having a similar problem some time ago. Could it be your email provider at fault? Sorry, that's all I can suggest!
Thanks for the replies guys....I suppose it could be my provider? I am no expert, but I have no problem sending directly through Aol, or MSN. It is only where the address is hidden in the ad' and so must go through the SH site server. My internet provider is AOL and I know they have a history of software conflicts with other systems. Does anyone else perhaps use AOL to connect to the internet? Are you having the same same problem as me perhaps?
Maybe its just me rolleyes
Thanks anyway.
There are some limits!
First of all the image can only be either a jpg or jpeg extension and is limited in size to 50Kb as well.
Could that be your problem?
Fred
Success at last!
thanks for the replies folks.....the problem was my firewall..........switched it off and away they went...
