Just watched the eviction. She came out of the house to NO crowd and into the studio where she was boo'ed.
I watched the programmes where she was racist and a bully and insulting and rude and thick ...................... but...................... somehow when I watched her apologise for everything I wondered how much of it had been edited to make "better television".
The things she said were nasty and unnecessary but were they really as bad as has been reported. If Shilpa didnt think they were racist, shouldnt it be her opinion that counts?

interesting question..... at best it was bullying and at worst it was racism.... and i don't it did twig with her until big brother went over it with her....... if they hadn't called her in she would still have been none the wiser....and that is the sad thing, the penny finally dropped (with a sledgehammer) then came the apology...

From the snippets I've seen, then watching the interview - I was surprised that Jade didn't say that she just didn't like Shilpa - and she wouldn't have liked her regardless of race, age, size, class etc, they didn't get on because of their personalities, simple as.
Having said that tho - during the arguments, Jade didn't tone her mouth or manners to the circumstance, instead opting to talk/shout loudly, drowning out any other opinion other than her own - which, to me, when done on a constant basis, does come across as outrageous bullying.
Add the outrageous bullying, to the backgroud egging on by Jo and Danielle, the pack instinct came out and along came the cultural snipes - I'm still not convinced that she was sniping at a whole culture tho, just Shilpa

I don't think she feels bad for the way she has behaved at all. Whether it was racism or not, it was still ugly.
Funny how things changed when BB called her and Danielle into the diary room and went over what had happened. And her sobbing how she has more to loose this time than last, and that it'll be harder to turn things around is another reason to ake me think the last 2 days were damage control on Jades part

I'm sure Jade is just too ignorant to realise what effect her behaviour has had around the world. I don't suppose she ever watches the news so she probably will have to have it explained to her who Gordon Brown is.
No doubt her PR machine will push her into overdrive with all sorts of stunts to attempt to make up for what has happened - yes, probably including going to India, (although she has been there before, as those clips from Living TV on the news showed) but she won't really understand what has happened, she's just too stupid.

i havent watched any of it so cant really comment (but I'm going to
) - the programme is heavily edited/ selective over which bits get seen so its worth bearing in mind viewers havent seen the whole story, just the bits that make certain people look bad Much of what I've read about though does feel like the original comments have been taken out of context & blown out of all proportion......but then we've all seen that happen here too! :lol: I saw this on a news website:

well I've not watched BB untill tonight.......but from the clips that I saw I took it more as bullying than rascism........neither of these are acceptable in society today........I find it quite horrifying that children will have seen this and possibly taken it as the norm.........bullying should never be tolerated whatever guise it comes under......!

to be fair, shilpa didnt hear most of the bitching and comments that could be seen as racist from jade, jack, danielle or jo as it was all said behind her back so im not sure she was able to make an informed decison? personally i think they just didnt like her and she was bullied, rather than it being racially motivated :dunno: also, alot more went on and was said than what's shown on the channel 4 show, those who watch the live feed (ok i admit it, i do lol) will always get a clearer picture of whats actually going on, without the clever editing i feel.

Jade was created by Big Brother, they knew what and who they were putting in the house when they offered her the contract. Each series is a bid to make it bigger than the one before, ratings wars faught with the housemates, editing and spin.
As for the racism accusations; Jade did the same with a few members of the house when she was in there in Big Brother 3, but the other contestants she did it with were white, so it wasn't branded racism, it was branded bullying. If Jermaine had said something towards Shilpa's accent, or vice versa, it wouldn't have been called racism. Think about it carefully as a lot of people are far too quick to throw the 'R word' in there for sensationalism effect, especially the press. It sells papers and gets people jumping like puppets.
