Play station portable, though it doesnt just play games, its an MP3, movie player... basicly its a trendy PDA come IPOD come games machine.... Crap battery life though (6 Hours)...

I am more than happy to give in-house demonstrations ..............
Well there you go..............nothing wrong with bringing stuff back up, it's a regular feature of my social life.
Anyways to get back on track, I have brought and I would reccomend it to you......(drum roll for effect).....wait for it, wait for it.....c'mon your getting more curious by the minute, admit it, without doubt the most usefull thing I've purchased in the last few weeks ......milk it for a bit longer davej......The best £20 I've spent in a while.
damn! ...I can't say cos it's a specific bit of kit and not a generic thing which would mean I'm promoting a product on here.
Well it doesn't matter much cos they are still bloody excellent and honest, if your stuck for a present from someone then you would do worse than ask for one, honestly you wouldn't be dissapointed with it. They really do work as well as the advert suggests. We were a bit sceptical, but we all use it and wouldn't want to be without one now. Go on treat yourselves.
It's got to be my Ipaq 2210 with tomtom sat nav. It's saved me hours trying to find places and avoid traffic jams. I can organise my time and contacts through Outlook it's got an mp3 and media player what a great device.

ipod is the queen of gadgets definitely.
for bargain gadgets, tescos value sandwich toaster for 7quid. never has life been improved so cheaply
My best buy this year has to be a portable dvd player. Its great to be able to watch a bit of a movie in bed just before turning in. We've also just got broadband, so that is a close second.
After 2 years of dial up.....now have broadband, and i couldn't ask for anything else!
Just out of interest, this TOM TOM navigation thing, how does it get connected in the car? The reason why I am asking is that my lighter bit is broken so can it be powered by something else in the car?
Oo well no ipod here, but my orange SPV thing plays movies, MP3, games, and is my smallest phone yet. So small I think I lost it in the ambulance at the weekend
Still on other gadgets I love my CH Flight Sim yoke, like a real plane yoke (the bit they fly with) and makes flying on the PC so much more real...
Little portable radio things, public frequency, 8 channels and mile or so range. Just the thing for reminding your crewmate to put mustard in your burger when off getting lunch (or calling for the paramedic when they start saying I landed on my back after falling 20ft and it hurts  )
LED torches, last forever and nothing breaks em...
and more in lime with the rest of the thread my Tom Tom sat nav PDA with wireless networking (and the router that makes that work). Great for daily life, gets me from a to b, checks my email, and plays movies in the bath, heaven...
Mine has to be the candyfloss maker I had for my 31st birthday last year - I can`t get enough of the stuff!!
Just picked my my new Ipaq6340 - The Ipaqs just keep getting better and better.
Wha's more, was on the beach at the weekend, lo and behold it had wi-fi.
Sitting on the beach surfin the web - all for free.
Next hot day I will have to take my laptop down. I can do all my work from the beach. Don't you just love technology.
Do the IPaq's (and other newer PocketPC's) have decent battery life yet? I went with a Palm-OS based solution when I got my PDA a couple of years ago 'cos of the much larger range of programs available, I'm a techy so don't need the windows-similar interface (which, to me, for a small-screen device, sucks); and the battery life of the PocketPCs back then was hopeless - a few hours of use or something. Not really very portable when you needed to be within close range of a power socket all the time.
But I hear they're a lot better nowadays. Can you get by with average use and only charge it up once a week or less?
