ok... i am in a bad mood today... but the sentiment stays the same anway.
how come we allow ourselves to be ripped off????
we are constantly paying for gimmicks that fail to deliver.. or services we simply dont require.
the thing that tipped me over the edge today was cat litter bags. mad evil :x
i bought a packet of little plastic bags that are lemon scented, you are supposed to put the used cat litter in it... and the smell is neatralised and does not stink your dusbin out.. kind of like nappy bags.
now i was expecting to get what it said on the label...
......wrong!!!
it smelt like cat shit!
:x
........exactly the same as it did when i put it in sainsburys carrier bags that i stole for free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
god i am mad!
the other thing that anoys me is that when i went to the supermarket, the only pre packed potatoes they have are washed whites.... now we pay about an extra 20 per pound for "washed potatoes", we are going to be peeling the skin off ffs! and to add insult to injury... even if you DID want to eat them with the skin on, you would have to re-wash them... so what servise are we paying for???????
WBB is going for a lie down now
Ah bless hun calm down :therethere:
Now i would suggest using nappy sacks, you can get em dirt cheap and they actually do take most of the shitty smell away too.
As for potatoes,damn right mad
Hows this for a right rip off.
I used to buy an angling magazine, they upped the price by twenty pence last month.
They said it was bigger and better.
There was just over 200 pages total, of which about 98 were adverts.
The articles were mediocre, not up to thier usual standard.
Plus the companies advertiseing, are charged to advertise.
Where do they get off by ripping us off like that.
No more will I buy that mag.
mad :x :x :x
I think mobile phones are the biggest rip off going. Whatever deal you look at, if you read the small print there's always some way they manage to get more money out of you mad :x :x

too right... the idea of sharging for an itemised bill!!!
ffs.. how do they have the cheek to charge you to tell you what they are charging you for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I once paid quite a bit for a bag of pre-peeled potatos 'cos both and I hate peeling them...... maybe we should have bought a cat instead?

I do not! I find it powdery and prefer to make mash with far too much butter and milk to be healthy, so there!
Be nice to me and I won't mention how many workmen you are entertaining at your private party!

i posted a complete feckin rant on their message board the other day whingeing about their piss poor tech support! . most unlike me i know! i've had exactly 0 useful replies! gggggrrrrrrrr!!! :lol2:
n x x x ;)
What drives me mad is that as we have sky then we can get Box office and Pay per view we have to phone up as our phone connection is too far away from the sky charge an extra Fecking pound coz we have to phone up,when theyre charging you for the phone call in the first place mad :x :x :x FFS :x :x :x :x
It not one product I'm complaining about it the shops, most local shops (corner shops) don't price up there items so when you go to the till i bet most of the items are guessed priced i mean can they remember all the prices in their shops also you never get to see the price come up on the till because it always got racks of chewing gum etc in front of people don't check so how do we know the shop owner isn't adding a couple of pence here and there when he feels like it! Everything should be priced and the till should always be visible!!
And one more thing....when its the only way to book tickets for an event over the phone they charge you a booking fee.
What drives me mad,
A stroppy XX-XX-yorkie-slut (add the missing letters in yourself hunnybunch!) making it seem that I make smash! Mr. Neilnoshow, you were warned! lol
"They make it with their metal spoons! hahahahaha" I loved that old smash advert! The one with the tin aliens laughing! Oh how I begged my mum to buy some smash and it was terrible!
I don't like that really stupid feeling after you've been conned. I have a moment from a holiday con a few years back that will haunt me for a long time. It was only the equivalent of £16 , so it could have been a lot worse.
And how come mortgage companies think they can charge an arrangemnet fee when they're ripping you off with the interest anyway evil

Clare, it's heartwarming to see someone from Lincolnshire (home of the potato. Apart from Ormskirk) joining the provisional wing of the Anti Ripoff Spud Ensemble. Our day will come!!!
* Don't get me started on artichokes. (...grumble...grrr etc)

Exactly!! I mean you go to them to for a mortgage where they will make lots of money from you then they charge for it!!
See what I mean... grrrr.... I've just pretended to be interested in getting a mortage for a 60 grand house (yeah right, like they actually sell houses for 60 grand these days.... rolleyes ....) and borrow 55 grand to buy it from a popular high street lender.....
This is what they charge for their cheapest interest rate product........
__________________________
Monthly payments:
Repayment mortgage Interest only mortgage
Product fee £399
Valuation fee £235
Higher lending charge £725
___________________________
FFS....... they even charge a "higher lending charge" just cos I said I wanted to borrow more money from them
mad :x :x :x :x
Hi Blue..... a product fee?? is that like charging for the mortgage i mean you can't exactly call a mortgage a product can you?
Yes, a mortgage package is called a product.... the product fee is what they charge to set the damn thing up.... i.e. them telling you yes you can be ripped off by them for the next 20 years rolleyes
I DO NOT work for a mortgage company btw... I just know about them cos I keep buying houses
Mind you, some companies do not charge the arrangement fee, they just get you in another way mad
Ripped off? We do not know the meaning of the word! Try watching BBC2 at 9 o' clock tonight...the goverment can do it on a scale we can not even begin to imagine
I hear that travel agents may start charging a seperate arrangment fee for finding you holidays!!
THank God I've already booked mine!! confused
grrrr mad now we're talking............. holiday sales people, travel agents and holiday reps grrrrrrrr :x
I asked for a nice coupl orentated holiday on mainland Spain a couple of summers ao.
We asked for traditional Spanish village with narrow streets and very little tourist industry.
Guess where we got?
go have a stab

Don't be daft, you're not old enough to remember 'and then they smash them all to bits!'

Go on then I'll bite....
Two weeks on an 18-30 in Benidorm?
Bingo! Easy! well done!
In the Travel agent's eyes a quiet, non-touristy, typical Spanish village is BENIDORM! mad
FFS, Benidorm! :x :x :x
More touristy than blackpool. Not my thing for a relaxing romantic week away thanks very much mrs travel agent. grrrr :x
Complained to the rep about the state of the hotel and the building site behind us. Which,
as it happened didn't disturb us too much, we were more concerned about all the health and saftey issues in our supposedly 4star hotel that was actually a 2 star with wires hanging from great big holes in ceilings.
Was anything done? Apparently it's my fault for wanting to go on holiday. :x
I wouldn't mind but I should know better with being of Spanish decent. It's the last time I book through "My Travel". How can you leave 100 people in a layby at the back of the city with a rep who speaks no Spanish and an awkward bus driver tho "speaks no English" cos it suits him. We were there for about 6 hours and didnt get to our hotel until 5am. grrrr :x I could go on, but I won't.
Alex, I'm 23 tomorrow....... maybe I shouldn't remember them, but I do very vividly. I used to do a good impression too!
It has me in howls of laughter everytime! lol
