Well Dave, that's a very good question, and I'm glad you asked it. You see dave it was like this. At the time when the flat was brand spanking new enough to warrant a housewarming, all we had in the way of furniture was two fold out camp chairs, last used previously on a wet weekend in Cleethorpes, and one rather grubby futon that had quite frankly seen better days.
By the time we'd bought a sofa, begged a bed, assembled a shedload of flat-pack furniture, and otherwise got the place in some kinda state where we could actually invite people round, the central heating had kicked in, and the place didn't need warming any more. Add to that the fact we've got just enough room to carefully swing a rather small cat, well, we'd have to do any invites in shifts, on a two in / two out kinda basis, which kind of defeats the whole point of a party.
