Dont I ever learn
Going to go camping tomorrow - 3rd year running with an entourage of kids and adults lol. Each year it has rained and this year on form its going to be the same lol. Around 18 / 20 of us and it will be brilliant fun as a usual but whatever week I am told by my mate we are all going it rains lol. The first year everyones cars were being pulled out of the field by a tractor but we still stayed lol lol ast year rain and I just know this year will be the same. We now have a brilliant tent - sleeps 12 , in fact think I now own 4 buddy tents so thats my fetish redface surprisedops: lol   . Now this is first holiday MartellNotts and his kids have joined me on so this will be exciting as well as he is the 'token' man with all the wild Brummie women lol
So wish us luck as we are likely to come back with no tan, wet through but with happy memories of camping lol
But is it my imagination or are more people turning back to camping?????? I think its not just me you know lol
I see things like that as part of the fun of the holiday but maybe that my humor lol
If evrything went smoothly would you remember it as much afterwards ?
I've been camping man and boy and would recommend it to anyone.

It's the new black or so i'm told confused we had to buy a tent for a few SH events this year and I got a cheap one thinking that is that but little miss first class every where she travels (poshkate) is more descriptive than purely a user name has realy got the bug and is planning trips for the end of next month and a small portion of september :?
I do camp (stand easy bloke lol ) but its normally with a few pals half way up a mountain or in the middle of a hike and to be honest I enjoy it, though when I was a family man I took the wobble box option (caravan) as it was far easier with a small child (for us at least)
Oh as for camping becoming popular again just look how the prices have shot up per night now. It's definatly becoming back in fashion.
I've seen it during the late 70's then die a death in the late 80's and early 90's when cheap hols abroard came in.

it means yeah, kinda, but not in Anglesey, yet :giiggle:
it seems some of us have taken quite a liking to camping biggrin
camping is great.......I been going since i was about 16 with all me mates. and now I take my daughter away regular at week-ends and she loves it.....as long as you have air-bed so off ground its comfortable...but do have to say the rain can be a pain.....you do need good weather for camping really.
and yes darkfire..i love social camping as well.......ummmmm..lets all have fun round the camp fire !!!!
i love camp fires :bounce: :bounce:
with toasted marshmallows and accoustic guitars and people pissed enough to sing folk-style while snuggled in cosy blankets.....
oh stop  , someone make the pink stuff go away :scared:
I love camping too :bounce: Whether it be at a rather drunken bbq in deepest Wiltshire ( good fun had by all and a very cold pool at 11pm  but with a topless lil to raise the temps, who cares? ) or an even more drunken bike rally with everyone tripping over guy ropes in the vain hope of finding their own tent ( only to give up by 3am and fall asleep in a hedge somewhere rolleyes ) it's great fun
As DF said, pink stuff and all, wrapped in warm blankets, beer in one hand and a hot guy or girl in the other wink bring it on !!!
Have fun Corrie ! kiss
smile

Theres also Haven and British holidays but i think they are all owned by the same company. All their sites have evrything you need from a shop to full evening entertainment. The only problem i find sometimes the camp area is a distance from the entertainment area ad the static caravans seem to be more important. But still good for your money.
Anyway have a good one Corriefem and Dave

Should have checked the LMU for Pete's bbq then shouldn;t you?
pssssttt..................he's having another one in Sept
We went camping - once rolleyes
Bought a lovely big tent with 2 end "bedrooms" and a central area (in the middle lol )
Off we went for our first overnight one day in May. All was well until night time confused
I got landed in one bedroom with the 2 kids (thanks for that Laird :? ) while my worse half got the other bedroom to himself.
At some point during the night my inflatable mattress deflated. sad But I hardly noticed since I was already rigid with the cold. I spent half the night in the ladies loos under the hand dryer to get a heat
Next day we came home, I sold the tent on ebay and we bought a second hand caravan!
However....

you cant beat the old camp fire wink

I've been assured that at Rose and Staggy's do, I'll not feel the cold at all and have something softer than the ground to lie on  So I'm looking forward to it!
