Pretty much a bread roll, but barms tend to be a bit bigger and flatter than a roll.

Used to cover them with ketchup when in America (and mustard, when I was a wee laddie), but have acquiesced to the salt & vinegar custom over here. Not too fussed about the condiments, really, as long as my mouth is chock full of chippy goodness...

Depends on my mood
Salt n Vinegar... (great on a cold day outdoors)
Mayo (summertime mostly)
lemon juice (passes as a 'diet' when times are dire)
Egg yolk (yummy, just yummy no ifs or buts)
vinegar and brown sauce (in a butty)
Grated cheddar (Midnight munchies favourite)
Whoever melted the mars bar... hmmm... sick... sick and twisted !!

Well it depends on my mood and where they are from.
Chip shop chips - salt and vinegar
Home made - salt and ketchup, sometimes mayo or tartare sauce and bread and butter
Fries with salt and mayo.
Depending on my mood and what else is on my plate, I also like them with gravy, cheese and beans but not all at the same time biggrin

Ice you have eaten in totally different northern chippies to me - Haddock, Plaice and Cod are always seprately listed and priced in the chippies I visit.
Reese - I'll just bet you can wink

I'm going to have to get into practice for 6 then :twisted:

My local chippy has all of those!! Even Barm cakes (rolls) lol.
My fav is chips SMOTHERED in salt and vinegar, and then sometimes with mayo or curry sauce or tom sauce, mmmmmm
Well thats my lunch decided for me, just brought a fresh loaf uncut so I can have doorstep sarnies, and now im off to cooks some chips! mmmm lol

I used to frequent a local kebab house late at night after an evening of alcohol - and alcohol induced vomiting - at a local 'fright' club.
They used to do a tray of chips with chilli con carne on top and coleslaw on top of that !!!! Yum Yum !!

Chips from the Chippy but must be wraped in the Sun or Star newspaper. lol

with lots of salt and HP sauce.

Mars` chips are the best. Chip shop chips suck donkey dick..........possibly because my eldest daughter works in a chippy three times a week :huh:
It was so much fun when she started, all she needs to do now is get a job at a Chinese Takeaway (yes I know it`ll never happen) and I will be happy! :mrgreen:
