Magners is nice in summer. I used to drink Dry Blackthorn alot when i was younger.

:eewwww cider yukk can't drink it since i used to drink it as a young teen n threw my guts up every weekend till i found vodka

You should have included a 3rd choice as neither of those can be seriously taken as cider!

we usually bring back quite a bit of french cider from our annual excursion...mrs p is a coeliac so no beer for her , but the French cider that is wither traditional or the one that come in champagne type bottles are seriously good ..almost converted me from my rd wine

Strongbow!!!!! I've been drinking it with ice since I was 15. Only difference is now people don't give me funny looks when I ask for it.
Magners is nice but the price puts me off. I don't need a posh bottle to enjoy a cold cider on a hot day.

I like the taste of cider, I just don't particularly like alcohol.
Having said that, if I'm hot and thirsty the occasional John Smiths draught bitter does go down rather nicely.

i have to agree.. i love magners Cider.. but i cant afford to get drunk on it. its a little nicer that Strongbow and blackthorns though, so sort of have to put up with the price.
why is it drinks i like always the most expecnive in a pub...
White wine, Mangers and Dbl Vodka redbull. (little trick i have learnt over time. dont drink all three in one night.. it has weird effects on the brain tissue. and makes it all sore)
while we are on about cider... has many sampled the different variations of Cider, such as Pear, berry, Strawberry etc.. there is a brand called Kopperburg, which is sold in a lot of the Whitherspoons.. and it is quite nice.. plus bonus is cheaper than magners.

mmmmmmmmmm Cider is very refreshing on a hot summers day served chilled but not with ice i feel it waters it down too much,add a little blackcurrant n wow yummy,not keen on Bulmers to me tastes like sugar water biggrin

the kopperberg apple stuff is bloody horrible..but pear stuff is ok... best cider is strongbow, magners, or the real farm house stuff... try rich's if you ever get the chance smile
