hi all
been on this site for last week and been reading alot of coments, but couldnt believe it when read about the guy who hadnt been on for ages and had to register again and then had to reintroduce himswlf to everyone to prove his worth, i thought this site was for people to meet up for fun, not spends months getting to know them!!! but maybe im just a slut who likes to get on with it instead of making best friends :P cool

This site IS for people to meet up and have fun, just not always with sex lol. We have many different characters in the forums and chatroom, which is what makes it successful, yes there are people who just want a fuck, those who want to know at least a name lol, those who prefer to chat a while, those who want to meet socially first, those who have retired from swinging but have made good friends here so stick around etc etc etc. As for being clicky, its human nature for people to make friends with certain people, you just need to find your own or join them
I dont know the person you are talking about, but i dont think you lose yr identity just because you havent logged in for a while (MODs may be able to help here?).
Also, it takes a lot longer than one day to get a feel for this place. Stick around, join in with the banter, go to a munch once you have established yrself and you may find what your looking for local to you. :rose:

Nothing to do with the forum, but if you don't log into the chat room for more than 30 days (I think it's 30?) you have to re-register. So? It takes 2 mins to register. What's the big deal?
As far as having to re-introduce yourself... well, if you fucked off for a few months in real life, you'd have to get to know people again, same here. Just cos its a swingers site it doesn't mean that normal social rules don't apply.

didnt read all the rules of etique, just though this forum was for like minded folk who wanted to meet up, but after posting a meet up ad was locked and told to go to cafe and make friends, dont know what to do next lol

Mmm, it could seem a little clicky on here because lots of the same people seem to post messages - but then they are the ones who are hooked biggrin

It could seem that only the posts that these guys reply to survive - but it could be they help keep the threads going with their imput :D
As for making you rejoin the site if you are away, that doesn't fit with my own personal experience - thanks to Mark.
I have been an occassional visitor, lost internet access for a while, came back and messed my account up by being an idiot, and wanted to keep the name perforated_cat so I wouldn't go back to being a complete newbie - and thanks to Mark that is exactly what has happened. :D

I have come to the conclusion,the site is run a bit like a school,there are the teachers (mods) who can do and say what the F*** they like,and the kids(the rest of us) who have to do and say as they tell us to for fishing ?

And the response he got about priority levels and so forth was definitely not applicable to SH.
If someone who hasn't been on the forums for a while needs to get to know people who have joined in their absence, why is that a problem? There seems to be an implication that a long absence costs you some kind of 'status' confused

and that's simply not the case. Several people who took long breaks from SH last year have returned to fanfares and red carpet treatment from the people who remembered them, but you wouldn't expect people who never heard of them to get the flags out.

I believe Let's Meet Up is the place to post if you want to arrange specific meet-ups - for example, if you want a trained trombonist to come round to your house tonight and serenade you with his mighty organ, or whatever your particular fantasy might be ;) , you'd post a request in Let's Meet Up. The Cafe is the place where like-minded folk chat and get to know each other.

Its a case of picking up the feel of the chat. If you have been dogging for two years you may need to change your style a bit. From my own experience of dogging there is little or no social interaction.
