I think they're the people Davej was referring to, when he said 'look like a bin liner that's burst'.
Seriously, if people come dressed in fetish gear etc., then that might just be enough to worry some of the newbies, particularly as it's supposed to be just a social in a public place.

OK OK dress as tho you were going out to a friends birthday party and your Mum, sister workmates or any other Vanilla sorry non swinging people were there!!!! ffs
was only trying to help!!!! lol people do split hairs :wink: Anyway as long as you are comfortable walking in public to the venue and its non offensive to others then it should be ok lol in short your going to a public place not a private club so dress accordingly :wink:

As said in a previous post - I'm not a munch newbie and have no intention of trying to scare away newbies - we're going along to have a social night and relax, make some new friends. The fact that we might wear something a little bit different from the "norm" has nothing to do with it.
We don't have a problem with people wearing anything they want and don't expect others to have a problem with our choice of clothing either. After all - how many people wear a leather jacket often?
Isn't part of this scene about being open minded and accepting people's differences?
I wore leather at the last NE munch and nothing was said about that.
Relax......take a deep breath and remember it's supposed to be fun lol

Well in honour of my first munch, I've splurged out on a new pair of black jeans (two actually, though I don't intend to wear both to the munch). Other than that, I'm planning on mostly wearing black (as usual), though not sure which t-shirt to wear, washed them all this afternoon so I've got plenty to choose from.
Right then, Jeans are in the wash, top sorted, and i'm now off to bleach the dreads.
Maybe putting my back out at the weekend and having to have a week in the house on my own wasn't such a bad thing. I can get ready for Sat night at a nice leisurely pace instead of running around like an idiot trying to dry my jeans with a hair dryer when the taxi is sitting outside lol.
