Following on from Staggys thread:
Prior to coming here I only ever used a condom about 3 times and that was many many years ago. I would never play without one now, but have found that they take a bit of getting used to and sensativity is lost abit.
What type/brands do people use, what advice about them can you give.
The only advice I can offer is stay clear of latex free ones...
These nasty 'wanna be condoms' are so prone to spliting at the very sight of action they should be banned lol Once went through a whole pack of 6 in one go... and no not a marathon session lol... by the time we had finished I recon I had spent more time without one in safe place apart from the elastic strangulation around my shaft.....Ouch!!!
Sorry lol... Latex allergy and no play sorry lol.
Just my findings so far... xx

I recommend Salt and Vingar! work a treat! lol
Actually, you'd be surprised at some of the things that people (the young especially) have used...cling film for example and as Dave said above, does happen! confused confused An so do the unwanted pregancies to go with it...
Wineman... there is approx 121 different types of condoms (from my lasts yrs course update in Jan - maybe more now). Its a case of finding what one suits you...... smile You can even get vegans ones!
Only recommendaton I can make is get the right size! An use lube/ky whatever - makes such a difference for the lady! wink
I used to work at a C-Card point for young people - the ammount of young men who ask for large rolleyes rolleyes Took me quite a while to get through to them that if you want to have safe sex get the size that fits properly...
Have safe fun! smile

another tip- using a littlelube on your cock prior to putting on the condom will improve sensitivity.
alternatively have a 'posh wank' regularly with a condom on.. you will get used to the new sensation of having a condom on and it will quickly ensure you are as aroused and sensitive with one on as off.

We used to have a wooden willy for demo purposes (always getting nicked rolleyes ) but use a banana or a vibe if you dont have a partner... then practice putting on by mouth too  Buggered if I can do it lol lol Need more practice on that one! confused confused
I, too, have had to come back to condoms after years in a relationship without using them. Initially I found them tight and uncomfortable and totally inhibiting. I have tried several varieties and sizes, and now choose extra large (usually condomi or magnum) not so much because I am large, as because it gives the head of the penis room to move about a bit inside, and that's where I get the best stimulation. Adding a drop of lube, as Splendid suggests, helps too.
I often wonder whether ladies are aware of a difference between a guy wearing a condom, and one without?

Yes totally different sensation I think... yes, I do prefer without but in this day an age you cant take those risks!
I can't remember what it feels like without (the only time was with my son's father 15 years ago)
and I have only limited experience of sex with men. But I can honestly say that I have had wonderful sex and not so great sex.. and that isn't anything to do with condoms as I use them all the time.

My lady says she can tell the difference. She also gets sore quicker if condoms are used with or with out extra lube.
I personaly don't like them very much, but maybe thats because I am used to not using them with my lady, no condom will be as good as not using them. Although I have used them a lot in the last 8 months due to my lady coming off the injection, and I am looking forward to not using them soon with her and only her.
That came out as a load of old ollocks never mind I will post it anyway redface
Anyone tried femidoms? Designed to line the vagina instead of fitting the penis. Also good for latex allergies. They can be a little off putting initially, but its fun finding out the best way of getting them where they are supposed to be wink
a length of motorcycle innertube and a cable tie usually does the trick
on a serious note i used to have all kinds of trouble using condoms but did find that a: poshwanks, b: Featherlights and c: an understanding partner who makes it fun to put them on all helped a great deal.

I've had a lot of trouble in the past with latex-free condoms, which I managed to work out was due to the fact that unlike normal latex condoms, the latex-free ones don't stretch at all, they split.
I've had a fair bit of trouble finding condoms that fit properly in the past, most of the standard-sized ones are bloody difficult to put on, and once on they're just too tight, which is not good for maintaining an erection (and it looks very stupid as well).
I found Condomi XXL were ok, though not perfect (IIRC they're tapered, so whilst comfortable for most of their length, they can constrict the base of your knob in a most disconcerting fashion). I'd definitely be interested in giving Femidoms a try, I just need to find somebody to try them with. smile
