Flower and Random, do you know where all the trees have gone, will there leaves turn brown, the last remainder of nature?
...and a Pink fan as well!

Our dear planet sits between ice age and boiling away. The truth is that the difference between one and the other is just a few degrees. A temperature to high and no ice, lower amounts of the sun's energy is reflected, even higher temperatures.
A few degrees lower and more ice, more of the sun's energy is reflected, colder, more ice, colder. Result? 'ice ball earth', it has happened in the past! We where saved by volcanic eruption.
...

We are producing more heat and green house gasses, there fore we must reflect more of the sun' energy back into space.
So here is my solution!!!
Paint everything white, a really bright gloss white. Now we will have to monitor the effects, but a white Earth will be cooler!

Kentswingers777: what is your expertise on global warming? I would put my faith in a collection of scientists over ill-informed opinion and conjecture.
It is important to not confuse opion with evidence and facts.
More fundamentally, there is a massive point in recycling and being more efficient: oil is running out, and we currently do not have a solution to our ever increasing fossil fuel based consumption.
The consequences of an oil peak is that we simply will not be able to power our economy in the future. The social consequences of this could be diabolical as having a means of producing power will become critical.
For a really good source check out Jeremy Leggett (google him). He used to work as geologist in the oil industry, so is well placed to comment.
A final point is that a massive wind farm in Scotland has just had planning permission rejected because of a fear that birds would fly into the turbines. What a fucking joke... NIMBYS mad

I am neither an expert or a scientist. What i do know is not one " expert " can prove 100% that global warming is for real. Most are nearly certain which for me is a long way off from certainty.
Maybe after all I see and hear my sceptisism is over the top but...I also would not be suprised in 10 years time for another scientist to come along and say we not sure about global warming now. If and its a big if for me, global warming is here, then instead of us and a lot of the western world being told what to use and what to turn off, and how much of a carbon footprint we have, should their energies not be better spent informing the major polluters of this world? For me countries like India have neither the money or the resources to change their way of life.
As I have already heard, they tell us individuals to turn things off but major stores leave their tv's and lights on all night? A strange one.
