Custard!!

Weve just realised that the custard weve just had is nearly a year out of date :shock: .Its the powdered variety and i was wondering if we'll be spewing our rings up any time soon redface

I totally blame Clare as she made it and didnt notice and i just pray that she's the only one who ends up throwing chunks lol

Should we be worried or is the powdered sort ok if its out of date???

Custard is wrong and nasty and should be banned as a foodstuff.
I shall put it in my WMD collection along with pineapples and After Eights. It could be used in a similar vein to the water in a water cannon.

Sorry Vix, but I can't agree. Custard is just wonderful. :bounce:
I also agree with Jas, as long as the milk was fresh then the date on the custard powder is nothing to worry about. - I hope! :shock:
Will and Sappho - who have just had spotted dick and custard for dessert. :happy:

To make it the food of gods, it should be left uncovered to cool a little. This results in the formation of a skin over the top, which is extremely tasty & know as the Blod (all bow down in praise). It is traditional to argue like mad over who gets how much of the Blod (bow down in praise again) worship

Please note the term "Blod" is copyright, owned by my brother & me, coz we wuz the ones wot fought over it when we wuz kidz.

Custard has a best before date? :shock:
I doubt it actually goes off though, just keep it away from matches!!!
...or try that water thing where you hit it and turn it upside down...very cool...until you hold it too long and it drips on you sad

WOW who'd have thunk it...apr 2002 :( you made me want some so I went and looked. I guess we'll know shortly if custard goes out of date!

Well were still alive but did feel a bit queezy earlier,mostly down to the fact of eating too much.
Sarge you can entertain Clare whenever you want (keep her for a few weeks,i don't mind).
And it was Clare's fault,bloody woman.

I had quite a bad custard experience just now! Was definately definately not out of date - infact just freshly made this morning.
Left it in the pan for about an hour though!!!! Have decided to chuck the pan away - but don't think I can get away with throwing out the cooker.

Ha! This is too spookily close to the truth. I have already thrown the cooker in my house away. I simply don't do food at home.
However I don't think I could get away with throwing the cooker in the restaurant away - unless I convert to sushi confused

I will dispatch a boy with brillo pad in the morning!
