A great deal of talk and opinion on posting and cafe contribution recently
Yep I can be as daft as a brush but I enjoy the humour and the debate.
But is it me and one or two others who are annoying the regulars? If so I will fetch my coat as they say.
This is not me looking for compliments, I would just like to know

Warwick, I think everyone gets a little worried at times, especially if they are regular posters. I received a lovely compliment today (thankyou 
), but up until that point, I was well aware of the threads I have started which haven`t taken off, and was very worried as a result. Was I posting boring and repetitive threads?! Probably not, we just care enough to worry.
Don`t get your coat pet, I`ve seen enough people interact with you to know how popular you really are :)

From what I can see, Warwick, you are very well liked on here. 
I'm one of those that read the posts about annoying posters and wondered how annoying I am. Since most of the complaints seem to be about the last few weeks, I breathed a sigh of relief as that's when I was on my 'hols'. (Although that doesn't exclude me from being annoying, full-stop!)
I'm very very wary of starting a new thread. It's not the problem of it being ignored and slipping to the bottom of the pile that worries me. I'm more concerned with getting an immediate response from one of the mods or even (gulp) Mark, something like "This topic has been covered, click on these links.....: when they actually mean - "sigh, sigh, stupid newbie fool, read the previous bloody threads eejit, this topic has been covered several times over and we, as mods, are sick to the back teeth of poeple like you who can't be arsed to use the Forum properly, sigh, sigh, shaking of head".
OK< OK< not exactly like that, but you get the idea!!!

I also feel a bit worried......... not that I can be classed as a regular (although I eat all bran everyday) but as a newer user…. And comments have been made that quality has gone down, things have changed, the threads are suffering lately and regulars aren’t posting (my interpretation of that is it must be the newer user posts are of shit quality)…….. :cry:

I think you have to define what you mean by 'annoying'.
If you mean, bombarding the mods with emails asking questions that are already carefully outlined in the help section...then...YES thats annoying!
if it means you have a different opinion and wish to debate it in a mature fashion (with out the words 'You mods like reallysuck and why the fuck am I not getting queues of women/men for all around shag fests') then, i think thats cool!

Warwick your one of the funniest people on here,you could never annoy whole thing started with the post i did,"are the threads getting worse".I take some of the blame because i got people talking about it but the thread went off at a complete tangent and since then there has been a few threads that have caused a few arguements.
I think there are a few paranoid people about at the moment,i was one of them until the munch,but nothings going to stop me posting here while i enjoy it.

I too felt that maybe I was one of those...."flippant people" who apparently, according to some people on here, are spoiling the forum for others.
I tend to post from work and consequently dip in and out of the forum whilst waiting for downloads or reports to run.
I therefore tend to restrict my posts to humorous (ok thats debatable :doh: ) quickies. If I have offended anyone or pissed them off for being facetious in any way then you have my humble apologies ..it was unintentional...But as long as this is an open site I will continue to use it in a way that suits me ..I will not intentionally upset any one ...if I do feel free to tell me, I will always apologise.
I love this forum, and use it for light relief (as opposed to hand relief
)it really does lift my spirits tangibly at times, there are some brilliant minds on here and some glorious senses of humour..
I respect everyone elses right to take from this site what ever they wish. We have a kalaeidoscope here, every day a different pattern forms...sometimes I like them and sometimes I don't. I do know that diversity is essential and should be encouraged .
We should thrive on the debate and knowledge on this site and be humbled by our own ignorance ...learn to embrace conflict as there is nothing that more resoundingly modifys ones conception of the world and the self. Just respect the right of others to differ from us.....

is this place about as important to me as it get's cos of the people here? is it tooooo important? i have no idea! if it ever seems i'm taking over the place, or posting uttershite, i expect to be told! and you know what? i'll respect you, and the site, all the more for it! i can't tell you how valuable this place is to me, cos i won't be able to see me keyboard and type . . . . . . i *know* others feel the same . . . . .
no-one who's posted on this thread could ever be annoying, in my book! it's a small book i know, flimsy paperback! 2 and 6 at yer local bookshop last time i looked, or on one of the many warwicks library shelves!
the day we feel we cannot contribute, or learn here, no matter how deep or shallow! if you have me rolling on the floor laffin' me ass off. well thanks. if you help me discover very valuable things about lots of things. well thanks once again!
