Do you ever find yourself browsing the forums and purposely not reading a thread because it has to many pages?
Or am I just lazy...

certainly... and Im pretty sure others do too...
however, at the time of typing, this is a shorty, so many may well pop in, especially with a tantalising title like that...
I mean:
Do you ever find yourself....
people may have been expecting something along the lines of;
do you ever find yourself....
unexpectedly burst in upon in your tiny rancid little flat when your indulging in little depraved rubber fantasies by a bevvy of Amazonian beauties lusting after pleasure and blood... eager to bind and flog you to within an inch of either orgasm or death?
could have been that couldn't it?
but it wasn't...
if it had have been... my fantasy answer would have been....
funny you should say that Guys... it does happen on occassion, more often than you may think... and is a beautifully varied and enjoyable experience everytime... so far only having experinced the joys of orgasm rather than death as may be able to tell by the simple fact that I am >sadly for you< still typing...
my answer in reality would have been...
no!

not me though, I'dnever have even imagined a question like that, very impropper for a man of the cloth

Yes, I do!
And I'm also deterred from going back to topics which have lots of pages because I have to plough through them all again to find where I'd got to.
Another Forum where I post has a personal flag in each thread which you can click on and it takes you back to the post which you read last.
Dunno how this works, but it does work, and it saves a hell of a lot of time ... it would be good to have something like that here ...
... though I'm pessimistic about SH picking up on good suggestions!

There is an option to mark particular threads if you want to watch them, or there's the 'recent posts' button. Surely between those, you'd find your last post?

Depends on what it's about and whether I've kept an eye on it or not.

I just wish I had the time and an organised mind like you FB ........

Oh shurrup you - it's only a case of clicking a couple of bloody buttons! lol
Yes but I have plenty of time on my hands for the next few weeks so I'm finding I spend more time here reading and posting.
Havent found those buttons yet though confused Is the 'notify me when a reply is posted' tick box whotsit the same thing?
of course! doesn't everybody? confused
i generally read the initial post, then cut'n'paste a post halfway down into notepad. i then scroll down some more, and cut'n'paste that into the same file, just in case i wanna quote and repost in the morning? confused then, by this time, i'm onto page 2, by which time i have to delete what i typed into notepad, and start all over again? confused then of course, i read page 3, edit, delete, edit again, click through to page 4, or 5, etc, etc??
by this time i've had enough, and can't be arsed with a multiple quote, and decide to log out? so i save it in notepad, just in case i decide to pearoast it tomorrow? generally speaking, it's at this point i decide to ignore anything more than a 1 page thread, cos i just don't have the time or the inclination to do all that bollox?
if you can't be direct, succinct, and to the point, i can't be arsed . . . not least cos trawling through me own replies takes me all bloody night half the time?
i think you'll find that's how it works? rolleyes
n x x x ;)

The even easier way to do it is find your name on the main forum page, click on it to see your own profile and hit the 'find all posts' button biggrin

Thanks for those tips ... finding your own post is OK if you posted, but what if you didn't? What I have seen elsewhere is a 'bookmark' type of thing which takes you back to where you had got to in reading other people's posts. smile
i start to read them...but when it starts to resemble one of the chatrooms...or post after post of quote on quote on quote...thats usually when i bail out!
Yes I do especially when there are multiple quotes and endless side tracks. But on the whole when I persevere I invariably come across something of interest of which I’ve never heard of before and I do like learning new things.

What you'll need is the 'watch this topic for replies' at the bottom of the thread then. Or if they were memorable threads, then it's likely that you'd be able to remember what they're called and actually look for them.

No, if it had been about bollox there'd have been far more posts/views! lol
I must admit that if a thread is pages and pages long I get abit daunted by it, but if it's a subject that is interesting to me plus it has been posted in by people that also interest me I can stay the distance.

Nah! where am I confused:

not sure if I mentioned anywhere else....
but the whole *where*, *here*, *there* thing sends me into a little of a tailspin... don't get me started...
I suspect you're *there*, your view may differ... being more of a *here*, from there, if you see what I mean...
But I'm *here*, whereas, you're not...
so *where* is *here* and *there*...
how on earth is anyone, anywhere supposed to find each other in this place...???
did I just mention *anywhere*?... now then, as to *anywhere*.....

I refer you to my post in this thread http://www.swingingheaven.co.uk/swingers-forum/viewtopic/183981.html

I think I shall now be very very quiet
