Does drinking and swinging go together?

After talking to a lot of people over times here, it seems most like to have an alcohol drink when they play. It is almost like the two go hand in hand.
I have never had a drink before or during a meet, I dont need to drink when having sex with my hubby, so I don't feel the need to have a drink when I am playing with others.
Do the two generally go hand in hand?
i do enjoy a drink or 2 but as anyone who knows me will tell you i would never ever swing drunk i don't see the point it dulls the senses and i wish to enjoy the experience to its fullest
i do drink when i go to chams but never ever to even a tipsy point and would gladly go into it with nothing more than a good cup of char in my hands rather than my wine and actually often have
we completly avoid swinging with anyone that has drunk to wat we see as an excess which believe me is way less than most would judge to be excess as we do not wish to be any part of someones next day regrets
Good topic and I agree, I've been to a lot of socials off here and a lot of people do like their drink it would seem. My dad was a drinker for years so drink and being stupid or just someone you're not when you're sober never goes down well with me.
I rarely drink when I play, I like to keep my wits about me and remember what I've done afterwards as it's usually damn good fun :P

When you say having a drink, do you mean socially having a drink together before playing or getting out and out pissed?
I like to drink and I like to play - but I never get drunk when I'm on a meet. I need to be in control of my senses to actually enjoy myself, not to mention safety issues.
Myself and BMW dont drink, so for us its a no.
A few people in my life had issues with alcohol, my ex hub being one of them so i dont like people getting drunk too much around me i`m afraid.
I notice in the gallery there are lots of pics where you can see bottles or glasses, one or two to break the ice is ok, but if you have to get pished, then thats a whole other story.
i dont get pissed when im swinging , i dont go near ciggies ,i dont eat garlic when im swinging, i dont do curry when im swinging , i dont eat onions or other strong tasting food when im swinging, or the day before for that matter ..
a social drink is fine but really dont like playing with people that are pissed .. to be honest i dont think i have or would , rose being the exception, as anyone that knows her will tell you she gets pissed even if you just open a can of cider two streets away.. and i know her well enough and she trusts my judgment to look after her if she cant look after herself.. i dont want that responsibility laden at my door of some girl we have just met in a club ..
staggy ..odd ball aint i?
there are times I wish I had been pissed
I enjoy a social dwinkie at a party or camping etc but I dont need to drink to 'swing'.
I'm daft without a drink never mind half cut
We will sometimes have one or two but it isnt a necessity. We like to be able to enjoy what we're doing and generally one of us is driving.
Also Mrs F's tendancy to vomit when drunk is far from an attractive feature!!!
I have recently had to give up drinking alcahol altogether, doctors orders. I have however good reason to believe that drinking is a bad idea for any close social gathering. I can provide examples. At one SH social a local couple thought I was drunk and being aggressive towards the other men. I have it on good authority that nobody else fealt this way, but it was my first swinging social and I remember knocking em back quick to calm my nerves, perhaps I was a little boisterous and loud and maybe my jokes were not to everyones taste! Lol
I also recal a time when I was at a camp and had been drinking all day and all night, someone I really like was there and we were really hitting it off. Suffice to say when the end of the party arrived I was to make my excuses and slump off back to my tent, worried about the old brewers droop.
Everything is fine in moderation I guess, but for those of us who don't do moderate, I think drinking should be kept very seperate from swinging.
I suppose it's all to do with need. If you need to drink to swing, then you shouldn't - either of them.
I enjoy myself far more if I am sober - I can enjoy all the nuances of the occasion. But a social drink with people is fine.
I imagine being faced with a woman off her head with drink before she will shag you has got to be a huge insult to anyone. And (to be honest) deeply unattractive - as it is in a man.
I think maybe that at some of the munches or socials that people go to that maybe a few or even more than a few like to let themselves go a bit in relaxed company so do end up drinking an inordinate amount and enjoying it, well maybe not the next morning eh?
As for the playing with people who've had far too much to drink then thats a bit of a turn off for both of us, yuk. A few bevvies is fine, it can add to my evening, although J is near enough tea total and also wants to remember all ins and outs of the night. biggrin
I don't drink so not an issue. Would I be put off by someone pretty far gone, yep.
We have met a couple of couples, where the woman was pissed or half pissed when they turned up.
Their excuse was she was nervous which is fair enough, but surely not so nervous you are pissed.
Then after one set of guests left, found she had been sick in our bathroom. A nice thing to find and be left to clear up at 3 in the morning.
Hence they were never invited again.

777 do you think it was something she had been eating possibly

OKOKOKOK i'm sorry alright biggrin
theres nothing less attractive than a drunk
A drink? Perhaps, but never drunk!
Very drunk people - no I would avboid them like the plague at parties and swingers clubs. If they are intoxicated they cannot consent. Simples. Happily merry is fine, it's when they become a liability that I really do start to fret about them (seriously). Those iof you who know me will know that I never ever drink in clubs, that is me being responsible on behalf of others as I am uber-reactive to alcohol. Social, no play events, that's different, nothing wrong with being drunk and disorderly there lol
There is a difference between having a drink and getting hammered though isn't there?
Or is that the problem with the nation as a whole? Not knowing the difference.
We both enjoy a relaxing drink as a prelude to our sexy encounters.

oh there certainly is your very right but sadly some don't know where to draw the line n get incredibly hammered before thier not so sexy encounter cause surely there is nothing sexy about a para peep well not for us anyhoo
actually tbh i would love to know how anyone could swing pissed a while back i had a diff wine to usual (was much stronger and i hadn't noticed_ when at the club we go to and when we started playing i noticed that i was feeling a bit pissed, i was cross with myself for getting that way without realising but even worse for me was the fact that as i lay back the room started spinning and i had to call an end to the fun cause i just could't enjoy it feeling that way, i mean how embarassing if i had had to take a break to b sick ffs ewwwwwwwww. although i guess that night did me a favour its made me even more aware of how much i drink and i always make sure i never get any where near my tipsy limit again whilst swinging, i would love to know how peeps manage to swing pissed cause i know for sure i never could
I like to have a glass or two ( or bottle when a certain lady comes to visit but that's coz we're both lushes drinkies :giggle: ) though I tend not to drink more than one glass these days. I had a meet set up with a very sexy lady and gorgeous guy, had a couple of glasses of wine and spent the evening throwing up and missed all the fun. Turns out I had food poisoning swiftly followed by a bout of labrynthitis - I was poorly bad for a week sad
I don't drink at all when I am in a club, and I think it is almost a running joke at social/munches that I'll only drink shandy or if I am really good a pint...
mind you I think I have seen so many drunk people in clubs that I have been put off drinking for good.... In fact I have seen one person so hammered that they actually fell down a huge flight of stairs...
Are any of the people I witness rat arsed at meets munches socials and on cam gonna contribute to this thread or do we have another groupthinkthread on the go?
lol sweet drinkies
Oh did i foregt to mention at swinging clubs----even those that dont have a drinks license?
oh thats just shocking no drinks license and they sneak there own in stone them all rotflmao
lol sweet shocking innit rolleyes
Mind u i recall the compnay xmas parties at the Grosvenor where we impoverished bin emptiers generally gave each other a neatly wrapped bottle of spirits ( speedily unwrapped and served under the table) to avoid the wallet busting bar prices. Quite a thrill I recall.

:therethere:
redface
Drinking goes with everything....if you have trouble you need to drink more.....booze is a pancaea biggrin
I have to admit i got totally sh1tfaced at a social and missed out because i was far too drunk - it was nerves and my first social.....now i just like to be relaxed and quite sober as I prefer to know what i'm doing and with whom - and of course nixy loves the recall of the last meet as we have serious rumpy pumpy the next day.
We are vodka drinkers and dont mind one or two to chill out on a weekend but not on a meet especially if one of us is driving - I always want to be aware that nix is ok with everything and she, with me too - so if we want to have a session, we do it with our good friends only.
drinkies :drinkies: :drinkies: :drinkies: hump bolt
I dont think the two should go hand in hand. I dont drink much myself and sometimes stick to soft drinks all night. That is my choice however and I dont object people drinking in general.
I agree with others if you are on a meet one or two to brake the ice is fine but if you need to get pissed to swing then there is something seriously wrong and perhaps you shouldnt.
I was at a munch few years ago were there was a female who was so drunk she could hardly stand up. Another one a bit more rencently there was another female who was the same also she was feeling up every male there and they were one of the organisers! I think this a bad example to newbies on how to behave at a munch/social but this is only my personal opinion.
