Well there are a lot of people who think differently but I think gel are stronger than acrylic and have tried both. There is a new type of gel now that is coloured so no need for polish and also less chance of chipping and the whole process is therefore faster as well. Disadvantage is that if you want a lighter colour then the nails have to come off and start again. Find a good nail technician and you should be set up for life ... and I challenge anyone to bite gel or acrylic nails

I think it lasts longer and is stronger, mine are always french manicured. cost around £40 a month but so worth it.
