Is it just me that browses through the photo ads, and wonder at the people that keep their faces clearly visible? I wonder whether these people really don't give a shit who sees it, or they don't think about the possible implications, or the pics are of someone else entirely?
I realise the odds of someone you know seeing your ad are pretty slim, and we are living in a pretty tolerant society, but I still wouldn't put a recognisable pic up. How about everyone else here?
Has anyone ever recognised the advertiser, from some other setting?

Faces in Photo Ads
I've got steadily more daring as time goes by. I do show my face, and my body, just not in the same picture - however, someone could easily composite them together to get a reasonable likeness of me. :shock: However, I normally wear glasses all the time and I look completely different without them on, so that's how I photograph myself.
Besides, the way I look at it, though there certainly are lots of people whom I wouldn't want to know I hang out on sites like this, none of them are likely to be surfing through the adverts on sites like this so they wouldn't find my picture anyway.

It took me a while to decide whether or not to show my face on and ad (I regard it as more of a profile than an ad) but eventually I decided to do it. I'd no doubt get some stick from work colleagues if they ever found out but apart from that it's only really my 17 yr old daughter that I'd prefer not to know.
It's a small world out there though. Whilst I've never actually recognised anybody from a photo-ad I do know people in the photo-ads that live very close to me. One couple are only 10 minutes walk away and although we use the same pubs and know some of the same people we'd never actually met pre Swinging Heaven.
The female half of another couple that live close to me works with my daughter occasionally. I've never met them but we chat occasionally and one day last week she told me that my daughter had been feeling a bit under the weather at work that day and that I should ring her to find out how she was. :shock:
As far as I know I haven't been recognised yet but I've no doubt that one day I will be.

1. I'd never live it down if certain people knew what I do
2. Face pics are boring to take photos of so I don't have that many decent ones :twisted:

We only have body pictures on our advert and thought that daring enough, given that davej has had a cow pie too many. Mrs davej has also deleted some distinctive body marks that are easily identifiable. We do send out facial pictures once a contact is made but will probably never put them on the advert.
It would be good if we had the confidence and self belief in our activities, to not worry about others opinions but like many aspects of life, we do care what others think. We are fairly sure that the general reaction would be one of interest and curiosity more than disdain but we are not yet prepared to find that out.
We have never recognised anyone elses picture in the adverts nor have we recognised emails from people that live close by although we have no doubt that we will actually meet someone we know given that we do meet up with people that are in towns that are close to where we live.

Which is fine if that's what you ask for in your ad but listening to the majority of the women on here if you send them a cock pic you're likely to get deleted without a second glance.

I don't think anybody I know would be checking this site, though if they do and mention to me that they saw me then as somebody else said I would turn around and ask what it is that they were doing on the site. Besides, I'm firm in my conviction that there's nothing wrong with what we're doing here.... and I have the arguments to back it up so I feel confident in that respect. Still... after seeing some people mention 'pic collectors', which I gather are people who randomly pluck all possible sexually explicit photos of people they can find, and possibly even use them for commercial purposes / republishing on their own website, I decided to not show any face photos in the profile. The thing is, if you reply to someones ad, whats one of the first things thats usually asked for??? A face pic!! so we figure it's just killing 2 birds with one stone!!!!! And we always send a pic of us together as well so people know we're a couple.

What I have found is that it is more interesting guessing from peoples posts what they look like. If people really want to see me then can do so through munches etc.

Hmmm interesting reading, some of the other members of the forum have stated their reasons for not putting faces pics etc......... I have chosen to put my face pics up I don't want a woman contacting me then changing her mind when she see my face sort of thing (not a very nice thing at all) still have not had any contacts anyway, well not via the ads section. With regard to people recognising me 1. I have told everyone what I do I don't hide it, why should I? if people don't like what I do then they are not worth having in my life. 2. If someone I knew came on to this site and saw my pic and were then embarrassed then they would leave the site or come across in a awkward manner the next time we meet, (not that I choose immature people to have a friendship with anyway) I guess what I am trying to put over to everyone is this ........... I have seen one photo ad by someone I know personally, and to be honest, on seeing her in the buff, I immediately put her in the same category as the majority of explicit photo advertisers, i.e. those who would probably get a better response if they left the gynaecological explorations for later!! I understand there are those here who like such pictures, but personally I find them revolting, and I think photo ads that contain close-ups of INTERNAL female anatomy should be clearly marked so I can avoid opening them.
