There has been many a thread relating to the use of condoms, and even though Im a Jaffa I always wear them while playing with anyone other than a regular partner, not that I have one of those now :0(
Cutting to the chase, I was in the local chemist the other day looking through the wonderfully extensive range of condoms available, when I noticed the femidoms. If I remember correctly there were only two choices as far as veriety was concerned. I'm curious about these as I have on more than one occasion endured the embarasement of losing my errection while putting on a condom, and so I asked the woman in the chemist if they were as safe as the man wearing a condom. She of course didn't know, or if she did she wasn't saying.
So have any of you people used them? And how do you rate them? Also dies anybody know or have an educated opinion as to their safety when avoiding STI's?

Ooo, cool question.. I've always wondered how they actually work. I mean, do you just push them up and hope they stay there, kind of like an inside out condom but baggier I would assume?! I have this vision of the inserted and ready to rock stage looking something like a piping bag does then you're trying to fill it with icing

I can only assume that the woman goes on her back, with her legs in the air and reaches down with both hands to make sure it stays in position. And that must be after she has inserted it. Wouldn't that take some alignment? If it gets tangled its abound to come adrift and get poked in?

I think there is a drawing on the packet. It seems to look like a fishermans catch net. Two basic reinforced rings with the latex between. Its quite fascinating really, the engineering etc. or maybe not.

as far as i am aware and it has been years since i last used a femidom .. it is not latex and therefore stretchy it is more like a plastic bag held in place by 2 rings .. 1 inserted in and covering the cervix and g spot the other ring on the outside covering the clit. the rings are semi rigid and the outer ring no so flexible as to get shoved inside you while shagging, but you do have to hold it in place during initial insertion of the penis.
for me it was like shagging through a plastic carrier bag as i am sure that males find with a condom. it is as safe to use as a condom where STI's are concerned and i would have no problems using 1 while playing especially if the guy is latex intolerant and non latex condoms were not available, as i know some fems are latex intolerant it is also an option for them.
