You seen it already? It only came out today...
Violent? Or just a better version of the original?
confused:
nope going to see it tonight...from what i've seen of the trailer it looks good...and with a cast like Russell Crowe and Christian Bale it shouldn't be a stinker...haven't seen the original!
Wild Hogs on DVD
Saw it in the cinema earlier in the year and couldn't wait for it to come out on DVD.
Great one liners, great innuendo, loverly bikes and just an all round good, fun film with no hidden undertones or subliminal messages.
Enjoy
On a Marathon theme...Run Fat Boy Run!
quite a good British Romatic Comedy...don't go to see this if your expecting a Shaun of the Dead or Hot Fuzz though.
Watched 28 weeks later and 300 last night. Both watchable 28 weeks not as good as 28 days but when is a sequel as good as the original?
A whole new thread I think though probably been done already. rolleyes
Great idea De-sade! Struggling to decide if to go & see "Run fat boy run" (loved hot fuzz) or get the DVD of Letters from Iow Jima/Flags of our fathers. Any advice appreciated!
Struggling to envisage how one straps on a dildo & buggers themselves with it though?!?! lol

Don't get it!... we nearly fell asleep half way through, it's subtitled which in itself is kind of ok but it's way to deep and I'd advise Flags of our Fathers if anything.
OR if you haven't already seen them try Babel or Apocolypto (sp?).. bloody fantastic films!
Well I enjoyed Surfs Up if that is any help redface
but then again, I like anything to do with penguins (and not just the chocolate variety)

Quite agree with you on both films Catcorb - the action in 300 was excellent although the criticism that it was a tad homo-erotic I think stands up. As my missus said "there are more six packs in 300 than in Safeways".
As for 28 Weeks later - it was missing the Boyle touch but was still very good, especially the helicopter scene  - as good as the original? Probably not.
Anyone seen Shoot 'em up ? Reports? Reviews? Critique?
i thought 28 Weeks later was a very poor film...not a patch on the first...just the fact that Robert Carlye had access to all areas including military areas and being able to get to his wife without any guards stopping him just made it daft!

The Empire Strikes Back was a superlative sequel! smile

Went to see 1408 on Thursday night - thought it was excellent - very jumpy so eat your popcorn before it starts !!

If you liked the book, then you will love the film. Promise.
The book's been recommended to me. Is it one of those films that you're better off reading the book first, if you're going to read it at all?

I read the book when it came out and it's brilliant, haven't seen the film yet but will be going to see it at some point despite the fact that I don't normally like going to the cinema. I'd be tempted to say read the book first, but having not seen the film yet I might be wrong.
id quite like a MILF for the weekend

have to agree with the Marquis, there was some rather impressive chopper action
I found it rather enjoyable and jolly romp...
the walk to the local shop through the estate in a partial blackout was made all the more atmospheric!

Hmmmm...Will add that to my list of DVDs to watch, on a similar theme I believe is another good film "The Prestige" - Hugh Jackman, Michael Caine and the phenomenal Christian Bale. Thoroughly enjoyable.
I watched the Prestige and from what I can gather the Illusionist is on similar lines. I really enjoyed the Prestige.

cool You will enjoy it, and you will be transported back to your youth without a shadow of a doubt. I had a very guilty smile when the "gang" go "hunting" on the disused council estate. biggrin
I plumped for Shoot 'Em Up in the end - Great fun. Great action. Good Acting. Fabulous Monica Belucci. Cool, cool, cool Clive Owen. Recommended.
Keep us informed Mr. Powers - next on my list provided the feedback is good...
I did! it was brilliant! so much so my husband enjoyed it and he isn't really one for watching many films.
I particularly liked 'smell's' outfit, I kind of dressed like that 8-)
Jay reckoned it was more in line with the late 70's rather than 1983 but I'm not that sure, anyway really enjoyable and kept me on my toes throughout.
just got back from seeing 3:10 To Yuma...and have to say it was a really good thing, one of those cowboy films where the good guy does what he does to get the respect of his family and mostly his eldest son,Russell Crowe despite being a nasty bastard...is very likeable...even more so by the end...see it and your know what i mean!...this film put a lump in my throat!
I watched Henry and June again...mmmmmmmmm nice!
right whats on offer this week at the movies...my mum likes horror films and asked if she could tag along and see the Halloween remake...but will it match up to the original?
