It's your age as well, unfortunately.
If your hair starts falling out too, take vitamin B12 tablets.
AM I OLD ENOUGH FOR THE CHANGE AT 37? dunno
HAIR FALLING OUT!! :scared:
you really know how to cheer a girl up!!
Darling ............. just googled this for you .....
Women reach menopause at different times. The timing is not related to age at last pregnancy, age of menarche (first period), the birth control pill, breastfeeding, class, fertility patterns, height, having been pregnant, or race.
The average age for menopause is 51. If menopause is reached naturally or surgically before the age of 40, it is called early or premature menopause.
Estrogen levels drop very abruptly after induced menopause — when both ovaries are removed surgically or damaged by radiation or chemotherapy. This often intensifies the conditions associated with menopause and may lead to major physical and emotional changes, including depression.
It is somewhat reassuring to remember that perimenopause is a temporary phase. And most symptoms are temporary, such as mood changes and hot flashes. For most women perimenopause will last two or three years, though for some it lasts as long as 10 or 12 years.

<<<< whispers >>>>>> Hey NILs - this is a PMT thread - you've spent too long on it already (yer personall accident insurance premiums will go sky high!!). I made an appearance but I think I got away with it!!
Another one for the pain is diclofenac tablets. not sure exactly how it works but its an anti-inflammatory, my GP prescribed it for me about 10 years ago, and its the only thing that completely stops the pain!
Also it comes in a 12 hour slow release tablet so you dont get the pain coming back every 4 hours or so between doses. i think its effing FANTASTIC!
Lou xxxx
i don't get PMT so can't help :smug:
with my girls i find it best to just lock them in the cellar for a few days lol
but seriously if its that bad i'll echo whats been said and go see the doc

Now i'm no expert on these but i've had experiance of someone having one fitted and trust me they work a treat and i'm not certain (i'm a man remember) but I don't think they need to be changed as regular as a normal coil. smile

They only need to be changed every 5 years which is good if they work for you. I 've tried it and unfortunately didn't get on with it so next step for me is the big op though with the NHS waiting list as it is, I'll be past the bleeding menopause by then rolleyes

And don't work for everyone, actually.
They tend not to offer the coil to those who haven't given birth.
I asked about the coil as an option and was told point blank no because of my age, the fect that I've not got kids and at the time had never had thrush. dunno They said it could cause my inflamation of the womb and infections for me personally so I was kinda limited in that respect. Also made me realise that we could sit here talking about what worked for us and why but the clinic is possibly the best place to ask cos they do that day in day out. smile
Hope youre ok hisnhers and your pmt has settled now. smile
