I think that, as someone mentioned earlier in the thread, a lot of it is down to attitude.
If a single swinger went on to become involved in a relationship in which they were unwilling to continue swinging, this would maybe suggest that they were just swinging as a means to get a shag.

Ok..., we were at a vanilla wedding last summer and one of the guests was a lovely young French guy who I fancied the pants off :twisted:
I spoke to Lairdy about it, although he had already spotted him and knew he would be right up my street
. I thought about shagging him, with Lairdy's consent obviously, but didn't. For me it felt "funny" cause I didn't see him as a swinger. For all I knew he could've have been but in my eyes that night, he looked very vanilla. Now, if I had shagged him, would I have been swinging, as I had Lairdy's agreement to go for it and in our eyes that openness and agreement that it was ok to go further means we view it as a swinging situation? Or, would I not have been swinging cause French boy was vanilla, not part of the swinging lifestyle as far as I knew? :dunno:

I have to agree that even though I am single, its the lifestyle that defines me as a swinger!
