Any other game geeks out there in swinging land?
Its where I am off to now biggrin one of my great pleasures :D Who else plays on Xbox live or Playstation network? Feel free to comment if you do play, would be interested to know if there are any others. Dont have to give your user but if you want to add us on either service we wouldn't mind. Anyone ever used online console services for swinging? Not yet here but have had some interesting conversations whilst crashing cars lol
One great thing about online games is time differentials  I am now off to kill some Americans in their prime.
Night all
not so much now but used to play moh and c+c religously..then i found swinging sites and online gaming got sidelined for some reason biggrin
My hand goes up! Im a 360 gamer primarily, since I got bored of my wii. But im a bit of a lone soul. I love the stories in games, so i tend to gravititate towards the single player side and away from the deathmatch and other multiplayer bits.
But seriously, who doesnt love a fragfest at a party?
As an ex-proprietor of a 'LAN Gaming' venue ..... I have partaken of the odd game or two lol.
Actually, for most of us in the 'real world' Its almost unbelievable that we had a very small premises, about the size of your average cafe, that was filled to the gunnels every evening and every weekend with literally dozens of people waiting to join tournaments.
We had group bookings from most of Europe, The States, Canada, South America, and the Far East.
..................... just to spend 3 days, cramped into a small cafe, to network their computers, and playgames????! dunno
I guess the attraction of a LAN is that you can eyeball your opponents across the table :rascal:
As for non-PC based games, no, sorry, never felt the need .... small screens, small controllers, and shite graphics ........... why would you want to? :dunno: IMHO :lol2:
it has to be a 360, halo and cod4

haha I knew someone would put that...
Left 4 Dead II
Been playing Left 4 Dead for the best part of the year and now they have released the next instalment (17 Nov) so to speak :-)
I could never get to grips with playstation/Xbox controls so I tend to stick to pc games. Used to play Age Of Empires, Baldur's Gate etc but don't seem to much these days. Son's been trying to get me into World Of Warcraft for ages but it just doesn't appeal
<off topic slightly> did anyone see the Southpark episode about WOW? It was the only time I've ever enjoyed watching that show rotflmao
I used to be very much into FPS when my PC was capable of handling it all - Quake, Q2 Q3A, Unreal etc, but the march of time and technology left me in it's wake.
I'd love a PS3, but I'd have to rig up a keyboard and mouse as there's no way I can use a sixaxis to strafe.
I wonder if Mr Claus will be nice to me this year!
*Him*
Heh, Im actually really surprised at the number of gamers here. I thought it would just be me! I wonder if theres a risk-reward link between swinging and gaming. Or a sensation seeker personality trait that we share.
I was a dedicated PC gamer, till I got a 360. Huge beanbag, in front of my full HD TV for a few hours. Bliss.
If anyone wants to come round, just to game...?
STRIP HALO! now thats an idea. I could fit 3/4 naked competitive people on that beanbag. Wow! I love inspiration!

i'm nothing if not obvious biggrin
I like to 360.
Incredibly relaxing to travel to alien lands and 'shoot shit'!
or drive into walls in PGR.
Halo was a sensation for me too. Started with that on the original xbox, and HAD to get a 360 to continue with th sequence.
I'm toying with getting Need for Speed: Shift, or Forza now.
Maybe a good WW2 shoot 'em up.
(a good flight/battle sim would be a (ahem) blast too)
I haven't 'onlined', as being a bit of a tecnophobe, and a cheap git, fear expence.
lp
i play games often i prefere pc based games like at moment playing need for speed shift at moment
for my online games i play silly little games like tetris and chuckie egg and old 1 from spectrum to commodore computers
i also play tw wars and also uk tw wars as it passes some time on and also gets bloody busy when you are playing with over 30+ villages lol most ive ever had is over 80 villages so looking to beat that soon
i also have 3 playstation 2 and plenty of games for them
6 nintendo ds for me and kids to battle with depending on which house where at (plenty of games )
the Silent Hill games.
anyone played those?
I've used xbox &pc formats, depending on what was available. Spookie game for All Hallows Eve.
lp
I was introduced to battlefield 2142 and got hooked. I only stopped playing cause I sold my gaming laptop so I could fund my car sad
I think i may be showing my age but i recall playing the Original wolfenstein and then upgrading to Doom. I remember playing online (on a dialup !) and killing my brother in law alot ! - that was fun. Had a go on Quake IV and i scared the bits of me - proper graphics and surround sound..
Although i have a playstation3 and wii I find I am too rubbish to play online - I just die !! My eldest's boyfriends normally play it now !
Am getting into the beatles band thing but i am finding the drums really hard - I am just too uncordinated ! has however made the game family centric as we can all get together and play - its good fun. Oddly my daughter who can play piano and cello well has picked up the drums and the guitar with no problem at all - I am really feeling my age now !
Oh well
feeling your age! Looking at your pic (avatar) your a right old bastard lol
I remember playing doom, what a difference now eh?
Hmmmmm confused
showing me age here but I'm still hooked on Counterstrike and OpFlash redface
hey ho, each to their own eh?
Oh and i was reminded that the reason i don't do online gaming is coz there are far too many cheat hacks out there???
There was another game i used to like too, had a level called 'bounce' that i just couldn't stay away from but i'm damned if i can remember what it was called.
dunno
ok
I'll get me Zimmer

oh yeah, we know all about those, especially the home brew turbo charged version with twin mounted .50 brownings and doppler IFI's wink
old doesn't always equate to boring :lol2:
I haven't played many games online, although I did play Ghost recon on a friends Xbox a few times. I mainly play games on my PS2 such as NFL '09 and Raw versus Smackdown '09 (can't afford an Xbox at the moment  ) or Dawn of War and Dawn of War: Soulstorm on my Laptop biggrin
Started playing Quake in '96 then moved onto Counterstrike. Followed by Eve Online (amazing MMORPG)
Dropped from online gaming for 3 years then back with Left 4 Dead.
oh how things have changed! was on dialup in 96 and paying 4p a minute...wooh way to go BT!
Good to see so many of your Game geeks here biggrin Seems a lot of you though play games offline and only dabble with the online side. I am the exact opposite I pretty much only play online only. Normally if I play offline its to unlock items etc for online play.
The games I play online are all console based games. I started out on the Sega Dreamcast playing over dialup and buying what I could get here plus importing games from America. I pretty much own nearly every console that can be played online with the exception of the Wii which I will probably get at some point. I have PS2, Saturn, Gamecube, Ps3 and Xbox 360 although the 360 is in need of a repair visit to Germany evil I onw a lot pf the popular game for 360 and my PS3 library is growing. Huge fan of Lost planet online I own it on PS3 and 360 lol

PS3 and Xbox 360 now days though are basically PC's. There isnt much of a difference besides not being able to update them hardware wise. Mine are hooked to a huge LCD in HDMI and although I like to user controllers Mouse and KB support do exist. Great thing about console over PC's is you dont have to fuss with compatibility operating systems tech specs etc. All things that stop average Joe from getting online are removed with Consoles.
Cheers for the replies all. Anyone does want to add me on Live or Playstation network then just drop me a PM.
Cheers
I am crap at video games but I enjoy them a bit... it's just taken me two weeks of solid playing to beat Arkham Asylum on easy, and that's just the story bits - I haven't bothered looking for all the pick ups... I suck.
I do sometimes roleplay and wargame with miniatures and dice... should I admit to that on a forum where I might one day try to get laid?

Perhaps not lol
I used to do a lot of both, mainly GW stuff (mind you it was a long time a go now), and I did buy the rules to "Firefly/Serenity", mainly as I'm a fan of the film and series, but I've never been able to convince anyone to play it rolleyes
I've played Counterstrike... You've probably seen me, I'm the one who gets shot in the head within 4 seconds. Honest to god, it's so frustrating. I felt like the extra who got beamed down to the Mysterious planet with Mr Spock and Captain Kirk, wearing a different coloured jumper and who you knew would be dead within 30 seconds.

Never wear Red (unless you're Scotty - then you're safe lol ) or Yellow/Mustard from Next Generation onwards

I dabbled with all of that at one time. I have some Adeptus titanicus figures still lurking somewhere. I think these two realms do merge. I was into Fighting fantasy books, I played play by mail games like Quest plus In played Adeptus Titanicus Hero quest and a few others. There has to be link in those to me being huge fan of Phantasy star online and Final fantasy biggrin Ive only totaled one Final fantasy game but the only reason for that is lack of time. If I had the time sure Id total all of them.

I have Final fantasy X-2, I nearly finished it, but I stupidly deleted the save file
