Just got back from the Glastonbury festival did anyone else go? what was your highlights?
Had a great time, just to many bands to see at 'once' will have to view the tapes over the next couple of days.
We thought Amy Winehouse was disappointing !! forgot words sang numbers to get her through some songs ....
What a talent.... what a shame !!
Lenard Cohen brill, the Verve exceptional.
Hiya and welcome to the forums...
I didn't go, glad to hear you had a good time and brill weather (cept for the one day).
I'm really envious would love to see the Verve, Leonard Cohen etc
Anaisx
I did the middle aged thing and watched it on TV.
I was mightily impressed with Jaz-Z and Joan Armatrading!!!
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Watched it from the comfort of the sofa with beer, toilet and shower all within a few yards biggrin
It's a real shame Leonard Cohen didn't want to be filmed whilst performing, by all accounts it was an amazing set.
Although the line-up wasn't as good as last year there were some excellent performances, the ones which really stand out were Candi Staton who at 65 put on an amazing show, The Ting Tings (just how horny is Katie White....), Neil Diamond who clearly loved the whole Glastonbury experience, Goldfrapp (the first time I have seen poledancers on the Pyramid stage!) and Massive Attack who continue to show that Bristol is Best.
Oh, and the girl who took her top off during James Blunt's set to reveal a pair of beauties (the nipple tassles that is).

Finally I'm clean!!!!!!!!
Just got back and straight in the shower. I was amazed how many people got there early, the place was packed on Wednesday. For one horrible night I though it was going to be another mud bath but by Saturday the ground was rock solid again.
Dissapointments: Amy, it was like watching a car crash. J-Z's intro was good but I didn't find one person who liked his set, I didn't even last one song. Massive Attack were dreary which is such a shame I love their music.
Highlights: A beat boxer called 'the Pete Box' he was excellent, and so happy to be playing there. Kosheen were stunning, UNKLE started of badly but a few songs in they hit their stride and were brilliant. Goldfrap were a bit slow but her voice is amazing. Trash city was incredable - like a bad dream from Mad Max.
All in all I had a fab time, met some lovely people and now I'm ready to do it all again in 3 weeks at Glade biggrin
...........once I sort all the crap out in my van.
