Heh. You and me both. I used to take the piss out of my girlfriend for spending so long playing games on her computer - now she just replies with, "Google Earth", and I have no defense... biggrin

It's strangely fascinatiing yet scary at the same time ( there's such a clear view of my house, it's a good job I stopped cleaning the windows in the buff :shock: )

'tis cool. We ended up revisiting a load of my old haunts, including the place where I lived as a kid, because I found them on Google Earth - hey, they're still standing! :D

Funniest part was checking up on my mum's address and there's my car parked right outside ! :giggle:

Ahh - we know a bloke on the BDSM scene who is actually on Google Earth - sitting in his back garden...
... activity and extent of clothing unknown. :D

you would think so mike (city images being clear) but you check out ng11 when you next go on it is so blurred i cannot see a thing
i think the satellite for my area was having a day off at the time

Its a notts thing, NG17 is rubbish too, I am most disgruntled especially as the work address in Sheffield is great! rolleyes

btw can anyone tell me how to get the above quote to come out dpg230272 wrote etc? - I'm still a newbie ( but I did look in the stickies first, but only found info on how to put in photo's, it is obviously thought this is so simple it wouldn't need to be said!) guess who won't be posting on the IPOD thread with any technical help! redface

I knew the 1st three letters referred to the area where i lived but i didnt know the last 3 pin-pointed my actual house ......bit scary :shock:
The first 3 digits are the area, the second 3 refer to the street which is why some companies will just ask for your postcode and house number to get your address. It is scary in some ways but to me it's a godsend! I work a lot in the community and google maps gets me there everytime ( even works out the route and mileage ! )
