Well, I made it round and I ache all over!!! I believe they cut my pre race interview with Sue Barker - something to do with my wig being better than hers!! :lol2:
It was pretty hot, which made it a lot harder - the Run, I mean!! As you can see they are pretty quick to get the timings out and we have even managed to get my position too - just over 13,000th out of 55,000. Not bad for an old geezer!!
Bearimg in mind I had never met Mr Bloke/Stig before, I wasn't too sure how I would recognise him out of everyone who was there, but as you can see from the pic, he does tend to stand out from the crowd!! It made a huge difference getting past all the huge traffic jams around there and getting back to Moonbase Alpha (Thanks Jags
). I am now changed, showered and scrubbed, but I still ache!!
Thanks to all my support team for all their help and assistance and giving up there own time to make sure I had a good race - I definitely wouldn't have enjoyed it half as much without you. The beers are on me tonight - although you'll have to go to the bar for them!! Once I've sat down I ain't moving!!
And thanks to all of you who offered good luck, it's very much appreciated.
