Guys - a mini rant! (Sorry! It's a long one actually)

Please bear with me while I have a rant and then I promise I'll shut up wink

We get loads of emails daily from our profile, and it often takes us days to go through answering them all. Even if they are not what we are looking for, we reply to each one in turn.
So my rant is this - Why when someone has been told "Thanks but no thanks" do they keep on emailing asking me to reconsider? rolleyes

Take for instance the guy who, after being turned down, sent me another copy of exactly the same email but from another address. Not only once, but twice :shock: Maybe he thinks I'll fancy him if his email address is different confused

Or the guy who told us that he is an Italian Stallion living in my area. Not only did his pic look as if he's cut it from an Armani fashion catalogue, he could barely talka da Eeengleesh and wanted me to meet him alone. So far I've had five emails from him asking for *reconsider of action* :doh:
Or the *High Profile* Executive (his words not mine) who only swings with those in professional careers as they have a brain too. Oh how lucky for us that he considers us to fit his bill cool

Or the guy who literally begged in over a dozen emails :!:
The list is endless . . . :taz:

Seems to be symptomatic of a small minority of guys on all swinging sites that I have seen so far. Shame but it goes with the territory I'm afraid. In fact the unreliability of web-based dating over the past few years has caused me and others I know to just ditch the idea and go back to meeting real people at clubs and parties.

My guess would be that after sending out countless replies to ads you are probably the only person that has replied to him. He's still pissing in the wind but maybe not against such a stiff breeze.

...NO not for that reason.....but some do act in very strange ways at times. I can only apologise for them. But please don't tar us all with the same brush :!:
Don't forget u can always block undesirable email addresses.

Here's an easy solution.
If someone is being rather persistant, tell them you would love to meet up, just as soon as the rash clears up.
(if you listen closely, you can almost here them running away from the computer!)

Alternatively.... arrange a meet with ALL of them at the same time, somewhere there aren't gonna be a lot of people, and then watch from a distance wink

Just starting to wonder if this 'problem' is our own making.
I always politely reply to everyone who e-mails or pm's me, even if they are rude/crude or just downright idiots (and yes, there are a few of these about). Perhaps because we are so polite in our replies, we are asking for them to email again. Are we in fact saying that cause we have taken the time to reply, we just might be interested in them but dont want to admit it? confused

If we replied with a rude "Sod Off, Im Not Interested" would they get back in touch? Probably not! Even though, I would still rather do a polite, thanks but no thanks, rather than the rude sod off.
I must also say that it is not just the single guys who can't read, couples can be the same!

Does anyone else get the good ol copy and paste syndrome? The number of times we have had the same email from the same guy is hysterical. I dont even think he remembers emailing us origiinally, just goes through the ads every now and agaiin emailiing all cpls/women. Wouldnt mind, but he doesnt even alter it a lttle bit, no new pic, no new info, no change of age!
OK., i know we have our basic email, but i always alter it to cover any new developements such as clubs we have been too etc. :shock:

Yes I have to say I'm starting to think this way too, but I still can't work out how they think politeness = interested but don't yet know it :shock: rolleyes

Normally I am never ever rude in emails, but I'm afraid I did have to resort to some rather blunt language for our Italian "friend" evil

However, it must have worked, because it's been 24 whole hours now and not heard back from him so things are looking up :grin:

Scandal, I have just read your post and yes (as always, bloddy cleaver so and so) you are right. You cant just say it is single guys, but I have also said it can be single females, couples etc who also dont read the 'requirements' and just post/e-mail what they think they are seeing rather than what it actually says. If I am honest, I bet I have also done the same thing (but I am not going to admit when it was).
And as for your ad, I have read it and cant believe you have not been swamped with replies. And as for being serious, it is nice to see you have a serious side and you are one of the nicest, funniest people I have ever met! (You owe me a tenner for that) lol
