Hand Luggage - What Can I Take?

I'm flying up to Scotland tomorrow and staying over night.
Not wanting to look like a yeti by wednesday I've been looking online to see if I can take a disposible razor with me.
It looks like they can't go in hand luggage. dunno

But can I take an electric razor?
I really don't want the delays involved in putting bags into the cargo hold.

I think it's down to the airport you're flying from and the airline, but IIRC you can take a leccy razor in the hand luggage. Big no-no's are anything sharp and any large quantities of liquid. Best to check with the airline to make sure though.

Just read loads of different info on this for ya, and electric shavers seem to be fine. Theres some conflict on what type (if any) of bladed razors that can go on- but the buzzy type are no probs :thumbup:

It's not a holiday (as dawnie calls it) or a shopping trip.
airport, pub, hotel for a wee sleep, restaurant for breakfast, office for a couple of hours, pub lunch, back to the office, restaurant, airport.
no time for shopping :roll:

It does vary for airport to airport Ian... so if is a round trip that you are doing, Its probably a wise idea to check with the airport you are flying from AND the one you are flying to.......

i just went to northern irelan with just hand luggage and forgot.
no liquid over 100ml under that it must be in a clear plastic bag. I lost my shaving cream (was 250ml) deoderant was a liquid one and my tooth paste. worst of all i lost my aftershave which i really liked especially as it was given to me by my ex.
so there you have it, i could have of course gone all the way back brought 4 plastic bags from a vending machine for £1 but could not be arsed cool

so i brought all new stuff when i got back, did not want to lose it all again now did i :haha:

Just had another thought... if it's a fairly decent hotel they should be able to provide you with disposable razors if you ask.

Ive just got back from Dublin after a long weekend, I finally got it right, as Ive had so much taken off me in the past.
Bought small size deodorants, and mouthwash, and toothpaste, and shaving gel, but forgot the bloody razors, so I suppose I cannot answer your question

I carried a few disposable razors in my hand luggage half way round the world, on and off 8/9 planes altogether. They were more concerned about the ammount of water an toothpaste I had lol

I wouldnt think you would have a problem with a electric one though.
cu3b4ll has a point, Ive seen many razors in hotels. If none in your room ask as they may have them in store.

For future trips, you could always POST favourite aftershaves and razors etc to the appropriate hotel a few days prior to the trip and just carry clothes and sfae stuff on the flight?

this is rose and i dont normally question locked threads or any type of thread really so please dont bite my head off but i just wondered why the cocksluts thread on 'fisherman wadders' has been locked ( and yes i know its got nothing to do with sex or swinging but then neither has this thread) and not this one ?....id like to know what the difference is please. am i just being thick and the answer is right in front of me?

If you read the description of the cafe forum, it says
"General discussion and chit-chat. Post anything here that is NOT a Meet Up or about Dogging."
So it is acceptable for the thread NOT to be about swinging.
As for the other thread being locked. Maybe Steve hit the nail on the head and they asked for it to be locked. The majority of locked threads do have a final comment from a moderator explaining why the thread is locked. Maybe this was overlooked this time dunno

This particular model describes itself as a "Nautical Beard" - I don't know what the difference is between a nautical one and an up in the air one dunno

maybe that one, if you tug it, out pops a liferaft or something :dunno: Just be careful when you're in a meeting not to stroke your new glorious beard too much, and set it off :shock: Don't think your bosses would be too chuffed to suddenly have to do a meeting sat in a liferaft complete with novelty whistle :undecided:
Might be worth having a look round to see if they do Aerial Beards instead - just think how popular you would be if you tugged it and out popped a load of parachutes and bouncy castles to land on cool

Unless, of course, the plane wasn't crashing and you just filled it up to bursting point with inflatable toys :undecided:
In Edit: Just noticed this beard can be purchased from a site called sillyjokes. Don't think that's very apt, lifesaving beards is a very serious issue I reckon, not very silly at all! confused
