Well me day started off as normal - bluddy alarms
Leapt in the shower - now, do blokes have some sort of powerful sonar attached to em or what :huh:......... why do they never call when it's convenient, why did David have to phone me right at the point of shampoo. Oh not just got it on, or just washing it off, I was right at that max bubblehead moment!!! :undecided: Why couldn't he call a minute before, or even wait a minute, why then.
Not only did he phone then, and refuse to get off phone when I asked daughter to tell him I would call back - but you could practically see him bouncing round his lounge in anticipation. I thought it was excitement cos I was once again the same age as him, and he wasn't an old git by himself
but it wasn't ......... he had got me a pressie!!! :bounce:
Not only had he got me one, but it had been hidden in my bedroom since the weekend!!! Think he's getting to know me rather well, cos of all the places to hide it - he chose the most least likely place I would look .......... under a pile of clothes on me floor :uhoh:
So there I am, scrabbling around under the mountain of clothes, looking for my pressie, crying my eyes out - not so much cos of the sentiment, as the fact the shampoo was now de-bubbling and running down my face into my eyes
So, opened my pressie, trying to look through all the mega blood vessels to see what it was ................... and he's bought me a beautiful corset, spoiled me rotten :passionkiss:
So anyway - not having made allowances for smoochy phone calls and pressies, I was running a tad rather late :? Luckily I didn't get in trub once I'd managed to bundle v. excited bouncy kid in the car, drop her at school, dash to the cakey bun shop - and leg it into work. So hyped up by then, I practically threw the cakey buns at em, instead of leaving em downstairs for elevensies :?
Got home, having already prepped the kids that we had to mega tidy up, cos their grandparents were coming this evening ......... only to find their car already there :scared:
Ran inside, hiding, tripping over all the mess, just peeking through a big bunch of flowers from office, to find eldest talking to a a grandma with a face like this with her face and voice set rigidly to 'ignore everything around you' mode, and a grandad with a face like this :shock: rendered speechless :?
Went to the kitchen, and for my birthday they'd bought us a chinese meal :bounce: So after they went, had a little bit of me and kids time :inlove: and then set about dinner
Now back to the sonar bloke attachment gene thingy :roll: This post has taken over 2 hours to write - cos firstly, right on "most awkward, dinner on halfway through post" cue, around pops the ex, complete with his new laptop. Wanting me to sort it out for him!!! :rotflmao: Me!! Sort out a puter!!! :rotflmao: It's taken me 2 and a half years to master me mod buttons (and anyone that's ever asked me a question, understands I use the word "master" in the loosest sense :? ) (look Mike, even opened a new packet of brackets for me birthday :happy: a double set now!).
So I start acting like an IT Liberace on his keyboard, and send him off home with not only his puter buggered, but mine all wonky too :uhoh:
Then David phones, another smoochy phone call at not the most convenient of times - but hell, can never cut the call short or delay it 8-) 8-)
We've just sat down to a wonderful dinner, even if the Aromatic Crispy Duck, was by that point slighty exaggerated on the 'crispy' bit :?
Had a lovely birthday - and it made it all the more extra special, signing on this evening and seeing this thread :passionkiss:
