But in all fairness I think most swinging related topics may have already been covered. How does one revive the topic without "The search button is your friend" brigade rushing in?
And if on a swinging site all we talk about is sex doesn't that seem a little tunnel visioned? After all, some people are here to get to know each other.

Hi.
So, can someone please clarify this for me? Is the Cafe meant for threads only relating to swinging? In that case, does that mean one shouldn't start threads about anything that isn't directly related to swinging itself? It can get quite confusing at times when you are new.
The Swinging Heaven Forum Guidelines
1. Before you post a new topic, make sure you are posting it in the correct place. The Cafe is for anything and everything (as you can see ), EXCEPT meet up requests or Dogging.

REDHOT WROTE- would hope we are all here to get to know each other in one way or another, but does that mean discussing intimate family problems on here with people we *don't* actually know? How would we react face to face if a stranger walked up to us and started asking us to discuss something personal with them? #
DONT READ IT THEN!!!
If you feel your reading a post about an intimate family problem, maybe think to YOURSELF..''do i know this person?'' if you find the answer is no, and this makes you uncomfortable.....maybe move on......
or would you rather the post didnt exist at all....so what do you want exactly, cos this is pretty irratating!!!

Moderation is the key to all things. Perhaps it's high time some members, both old and new, could learn how to exercise it.
It's simply not the case where we can ignore a thread if we don't happen to enjoy posts from a particular person/persons.
When some people appear on EVERY thread going with their silly little emoticons or such comments as "oh yeah baby" it does kind of detract from the thread itself, which is annoying if it had been one worth reading beforehand

I think that saying.. or implying that the long standing members of the site are sad and/or miserable bastards is probably counter productive to getting the new members welcomed with open arms.
Now I have spent a considerable amount of time this morning defending the right of any individual member to post what they like… not what other people want to read.
This does not however extend to being deliberately nasty and rude.
If an argument/discussion has deteriorated to the point where only insults will suffice. perhaps it is best to keep out of it and allow it to die.
