I distinctly remember battering a few rabbits over the head with a rock in my teenage years to (while ferreting) Skinning em was best though :giggle:
That's me never ever invited to DG's or PK's house ever

Have you ever killed anyone?
Since that is basically what soldiers are for - it seems a reasonable question. OK I know soldiers do all this peace-keeping stuff - but they are carrying SA80's or whatever in the current type. And they aren't for decoration. They are meant to be used.
I'd be more concerned at being asked that if I were a doctor.
Mind you - apart from those serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, I suspect more doctors than soldiers HAVE killed someone this year.
Oh and don't interpret this as an attack on our military - it isn't. It's a recognition of their training and role.

Do you know... whilst you're bickering over this ridiculously thoughtless question, my friend has just been flown home. He was hit by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan. He's in hospital in Birmingham where his family have been at his bedside. He's only just regained consciousness. He's lost both of his legs and his liver isn't working properly. He's in his early 20's. I don't know whether he killed anyone or not. I wouldn't ever ask him that. I'm not sure I can even begin to imagine how he's going to deal with the questions people will ask him throughout his life but I would guess that he won't be whinging about it on a forum.
It's all so unnecessary so instead of moaning about what stupid people ask you, perhaps your time would be better spent doing something positive for those who are affected by the war and think yourself lucky that you have all your limbs and the ability walk away from such questions.
That is all.
