the point is ... that steve has a habit of playing the bully, but others( me included) can see right through it.
he hides behind his friends and the AUP and basically loves a good row.
he hangs on to a time when he was important... but the truth is, he is no-longer important, and less attractib=ve to the opposite sex. accordingly he takes it out on his (more virile) competition.
if im gonna get banned for speaking my mind.. then so be it.

yeah... the sensible ones are watching gems TV and going to bed...
dont stay up 2 late you 2
I would talk to you flower but I am about to buy something from Gems TV.... Watch Steve panic now :giggle: bolt
Thinking hard on the OP i think that my kids are really fortunate that they dont see things in the same light as I do as regards seeing the 'differences' in things from how and the world which i was brought up in. In fact i'm a bit chuffed that I have brought my kids up to not even have such things cross their minds or occur to them now that they are of an age where these things could be issues.
My daughter came home today saying a load of girls were calling her a Lesbian. I said "well did you tell a teacher?" She said "no i told them I was keeping my options open", Not saying anything I smiled and thought good on you girl, you be what your going to be.
She did however ruin the moment by saying I need a £10'er this weekend Dad rolleyes

a fine young woman obviously... with priorities too!
lp
just looked at the video and I find it more wierd that the kids are calling a bloke "mam"
as for the kiss ....it was only a peck not like a full on snog which i think even if it was a male/female couple it wouldnt be appropriate for an advert

would you rather not just tell them the truth
OMG some people are just so............. mad :x evil :x :x It just a quick kiss not as if there snogging the people who complained should get a life there is nothing wrong with this ad at all that I can see.
havent read all this thread or read about this in the news, i have seen and heard the word 'banned' banded about in the media though...ive no idea if it was banned but that would surprise me, the IBA would have to be very careful of their reasoning behind this, lets face it everything upsets someone and that in itself should never be enough per se to ban anything...now im guessing it hasnt been banned but heinz have withdrawn the advert stating they dont want to upset the folk that have seen it, JOB DONE its made youtube, its ran for only a week hardly a massive expense for the return, lots of radio coverage, i dare say some more on the tv, we dont watch so wouldnt know , Rose and I have mentioned heinz half a dozen times since i got in from work, thats pretty good for an advert we would never of seen but for a guy giving another guy a kiss and the withdrawing of it etc..
advertising execs must be patting each other on the back..i wish i could get that coverage for my business..
do i find it offensive? well i could, if heinz said that the advert had some comic value. id find that very offensive, have they said that? if the two guys kissing is all ive got to go on then who cares...i dont.. suppose someone would, ill be very surprised if some off here didnt find it offensive in our little sexually enlightened community...
ive got better things to worry about, the poor devil that got killed in afghanistan bothers me much more, eleven in eleven days, the job im working on at the moment and how ill afford to fill the tank with diesel... all out weigh any feelings i could have for an advert..
now has heinz got a real winner here...yes they have,, have they deliberatly exploited gay people and should gay people care...ive no idea..for now..

well its sad what happens in Afghanistan.
but the stonewall yesterday advocated for the gay community to boycott heinz products for pulling out the ad,they didnt find it offensive but a positive move in the diverse society we live at present
have read the thread now...deecee worship im sure it warrants a thread all to itself and i admit to being as foolish to once nit picking someone just like steve has, on a different site...thanks to a certain poster there that did just what deecee has done here i wont be as foolish again, its a bloody silly idea that someone has to give there opinion to post on here, why the hell should they? i guess the time honoured reply of well dont expect people to respond if you dont...couldnt give a flying fuck if people respond or not, thats their choice..
It aint in the aup to have to give an opinion is it? and to be fair, i reckon phuckers did. A bit less of this silliness would make the forum a lot more hospitable.
As for the resulting slanging match and name calling, well grow up, thats just the kind of shit that allows folk to get away with petty minded rubbish on here and frightens folk away..

two words for you "thank you"
I don't like the fact he called the other guy Mam but I'm not that bothered about it.
Wouldn't be worried if our kids saw this ad and I would like to think they wouldn't bat an eyelid confused
