Today heinz withdrew their new advert that featured two men kissing, the advertisement regulator received about 200 complaints.
among the complaint said the advert was offensive and appropriate to see two men kissing, others said it was unsuitable to be seen by children and that it raised the difficult problem of parents having to discuss the issue of same sex relationship with younger viewers.
is this a sign of political correctness gone mad or what?...whats your take!
I saw the original airing and although I was slightly surprised I certainly wasn't shocked and definitely not offended.
200 out of how many millions of viewers? I do wish they'd get their priorities... and ratios right.
Phuckers I think its crazy that it ain't aloud. I still however find it odd to see same sex partners kissing out of a sexual context context. The last vestiges of a bygone age I hope. My kids are so more easy going and accepting of this sort of thing not even noticing it. Me I thought Oh my god 2 guys kissing on an advert! Shame they pulled it I think nothing i saw seemed bad with it.
What year is it ?? Oh yeah 2008 !! I'ts a joke that a tiny minority of 200 viewers should have that sort of power and influence. Unfortunately I only saw the advert once but thought what a well thought out and nicely shot advert it was. The actually kissin part seemed just very natural as part of the 'mini' story. Just makes me grateful that I have an open mind which is more that can be said for those 200.
Single numbers complained about this comment and uproar ensued...
