OK yes I'm a scot by trade but still - having lived in Manchester for 3yrs and Barnsley for 1, I would agree that Manchester knocks the socks off Leeds, Sheffield, Donny and Rotherham all put together :)

I was born in Scotland to English parents. Raised in Scotland but sent away to boarding school in Carlisle for part of the year. I feel that I am Scottish, yet nobody believes me because I have the most RP (BBC news announcer) accent known to mankind.
