Having done a search (don't want my botty slapped......well, ok, maybe I do) there doesn't seem to have been a Hobbies thread for a while, and I'm sure there are a lot of new members since the last one, so here goes.
What..................apart from sex................do you really enjoy doing? For me it's biking and reading (and no, before someone says it............NOT at the same time biggrin )
Other than spending far longer than I should do sat at my pc, a couple of the things I like to do are go to gigs and I follow the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship)
As sports go, the BTCC has got to be one of the best for value for money. Depending on the track - a ticket will cost somewhere between £20-£30 and will get you on for the practice and qualifying on the Saturday, as well as all the racing on the Sunday. Anyone under 12 gets in for free if with an adult. On the Sunday, not only are there 3 or 4 support races, but there are actually 3 BTCC races at every meeting too!
For those of you that know the BTCC, I'm sure you will agree that it is some of the most exciting, genuine racing on four wheels to be found, For those of you the don't, I would strongly recommend either getting to a race meeting or catching it on Itv, or Motors TV (no - not Men & Motors!!) next April when the new season starts!
I am becoming more and more interested in visiting well-read biker babes, especially if they live in beautiful Warwickshire lol ............... but I'm afraid I don't know any
Hi all,

I'm into motorbikes (love my fireblade), cycling, music, walking, sometimes even...... gardening?? redface rolleyes lol

There's nothing sad about being on here. I don't post a great deal, but I love reading all the posts. You can find it all here.......help and advice, support for people going through a tough time, fun, serious issues............I think whatever you wanted to ask or chat about there would be people more than happy to join in.
Stephen King though.....tooooooooooooo scary for me................I'm a wimp
 I actually really like gardening - love pottering about in the summer picking home-grown flowers and growing my own vegetables.........i even have a greenhouse  redface surprisedops:

I used to quite enjoy gardening, but since we moved from Brum all we have is a concrete yard sad , so now I stick to growing pot plants indoors. smile
I read loads of stuff, but tend to avoid anything that could be described as 'literature', preferring crime, sci-fi, horror, and thrillers. I'm also weird enough that on occasion I read text books cover to cover, and not always for subjects I'm studying at the time  .
I guess I wouldn't be alone on here as a player of roleplaying games, live action roleplaying, wargames, and strange boardgames (try if the weirdest you can think of is Monopoly or something mundane like that). I'm also a recovering first-person shoot-em-up addict, as I've realised that however much I like fragging people for hours on end, my tennis elbow doesn't agree with me.
I go sailing with Mrs. DP when I can (approx. once a year at the moment), and have lots of books on boat building, though I'm not sure when I'm going to have the time to get on and build my first boat (a 12' dinghy with a four-cornered spritsail).
I read a lot - all sorts of stuff. I try to read a lot of stuff from good prize shortlists, anything with really good reviews, and try to read anything someone recommends to me; also read a lot of travel stuff, historical fiction, even the odd detective novel.
I read a few peoples' blogs quite regularly, although I've never kept one myself.
I still think of myself as a backpacker even though the last time I really went 'backpacking' is over a year ago... so I spend quite a bit of time planning hypothetical trips, floating about on backpacker websites, keeping in touch with friends I've made travelling who are all over the world etc.
I really love theatre, although I've just moved house and haven't yet found a local am-dram group - when I do, I'm sure that'll take up quite a bit of my time. In the meantime, I try to get to see something either at a local theatre or in Bristol as often as I can afford it.
I used to volunteer at a helpline in my old area, and am looking for a new one around here so I can start doing the same sort of thing again.
And of course, there's SH.... biggrin

Aaahhhhh the spectator life rotflmao It's far cheaper to stand the other side of the fence you know, and far more fun wink

Ooohhh you have no idea how wrong you are..... Have you tried Hillclimbing?? Now that's exciting biggrin
To answer the orignal question, we spend most of our weekends at various motorsport venues, including Hillclimb's, F1 GP, circuits and Steve has been known to do the odd Rally. So for us we have very little time for anything else.... When I get the chance I do like my garden, but that isn't very often these days lol

But my biggest passion for thos of you who dont know (I am sure there must be one or two) is being a volunteer with British Red Cross. I am a first aider with enhanced skills which means I can use an automatic external defibrillator and also use oxygen and entinox as well as the normal first aid skills. I am also a first aid trainer training both members and the public and recently I abseiled 150ft to raise money for the organisation!

I am in to everything... Theres not enough time for all my hobies.
What do I do....
Astronomy
Design and Build telescopes (I am on a slightly different kind of forum for that)
Cycling ( I am a member of a Time Trail club, Actually won a throphy this year! Fastest 10 for the club. Not the fastest in the world but mins for ten miles)
Motorbike ( I have a R6 and just rebuidling an old GT550)

Well I would have said going to the cinema but on reflection I haven't been to the cinema since the day of the Leicester Munch (3rd september)
Perhaps live music (not since 7 October excluding my annual Seventies weekend last weekend).
