Other than spending far longer than I should do sat at my pc, a couple of the things I like to do are go to gigs and I follow the BTCC (British Touring Car Championship)
As sports go, the BTCC has got to be one of the best for value for money. Depending on the track - a ticket will cost somewhere between £20-£30 and will get you on for the practice and qualifying on the Saturday, as well as all the racing on the Sunday. Anyone under 12 gets in for free if with an adult. On the Sunday, not only are there 3 or 4 support races, but there are actually 3 BTCC races at every meeting too!
For those of you that know the BTCC, I'm sure you will agree that it is some of the most exciting, genuine racing on four wheels to be found, For those of you the don't, I would strongly recommend either getting to a race meeting or catching it on Itv, or Motors TV (no - not Men & Motors!!) next April when the new season starts!
I love the movies.....going to the cinema and seeing a good film or even a dumd film with lots of action, just to take my mind off the shit is great therapy for me.....god i won't tell you how many DVD's i own and i don't mean porn.
We should get into gardening more... gets us outdoors :P
Hmm, suppose mine would have to be music, and playing the guitar. I do like a good strum!!
My main hobby would have to be my beloved gibson les paul custom, i don't really play it, i just kneel down and worship occasionally lol ( just kidding i do play it just really badly)
I also like to play with a proggy called sybalius hooked up to my mac and a korg keyboard which i use to create backing tracks to drown out my awfull guitar playing.
Other than that the net, my time here and of course my bike..........
Apart from coming on here and going in the chatroom which I do far too much!!!!
I play the guitar and also do patchworking and a bit of cross stitch.
I walk my dogs but thats more of a necessity and I also ride a bike.
But my biggest passion for thos of you who dont know (I am sure there must be one or two) is being a volunteer with British Red Cross. I am a first aider with enhanced skills which means I can use an automatic external defibrillator and also use oxygen and entinox as well as the normal first aid skills. I am also a first aid trainer training both members and the public and recently I abseiled 150ft to raise money for the organisation!
I am in to everything... Theres not enough time for all my hobies.
What do I do....
Astronomy
Design and Build telescopes (I am on a slightly different kind of forum for that)
Cycling ( I am a member of a Time Trail club, Actually won a throphy this year! Fastest 10 for the club. Not the fastest in the world but mins for ten miles)
Motorbike ( I have a R6 and just rebuidling an old GT550)
Building Weird Computers (I have just built a pc in an Ammo Box)
Electronics ( I build anything from Audio Amps to Controlers for Telescopes)
But my main hobby at the moment is rebuilding my current house. I bought it cheap as the old bloke who lived here did nothing to it for years. So I am just about to paint the ceiling again!
Well I would have said going to the cinema but on reflection I haven't been to the cinema since the day of the Leicester Munch (3rd september)
Perhaps live music (not since 7 October excluding my annual Seventies weekend last weekend).
Beer Festivals (soon be time for those winter ones you know)
Arghh so what do I do..work eat sleep come on here for several hours....work eat sleep come on here for several hours. What a fantastic life I lead.
