yep no problem been in & out 3 times tonight
I binned some time ago cos I was having problems signing in and MSN messenger was crap. I only use now. Denise uses however and doesn't appear to be having problems.
I had problems with & msn about three years back so moved over to brill never had problem & the latest version of messenger down loaded last night is fantastic
I've had this a few times ( especially trying to get onto msn community sites ) and the only way i've found to sort it is to click on tools on Explorer , select Internet Options , delete the Cookies and clear the history then reboot the machine.
Apparently its a problem with a session cookie that "should" delete itself once you log out / change web site but it doesn't it sticks and becomes corrupt ( typical msn shyteware lol ). Doesn't work all the time but i've found it works 90% of the time. If you still have problems then do the above again then run a full system clean up ( i've it set in system maintenance wizard to clean up all the junk files off the drives , run scandisk then run defrag ) and that should sort it out as well as speeding up your pc.
Before doing any maintenance do the following. Right click on all the little icon's beside your clock ( WinME users beside the clock , not 100% sure XP shows them all ) and exit them ( make sure that anti-virus and firewall are off as these will interfere with the maintenance ). Once you've done that ( again WinME not 100% sure about XP ) do Ctrl+Alt+Del , select the files MAKE SURE NOT TO CLOSE SYSTRAY OR EXPLORER and click on End Task , some will need to have this done 4 times some will come up straight away that the file isnt responding so use end task again on them. The maintenance will work without interuption after this but due to the size of modern PC's hard drives I suggest the best time to do this is over night or start it in the morning before you go to work and let it work away thru the day.

i can manage to log into , but cannot get logged into msn messenger.
this isnt a problem for me as i dont like msn messenger. ive been on for around 5 years now and it so much more user friendly than msn. small things like putting a web cam on, you dont seem to have the option with msn to show or not, if its on they can see?? maybe this has changed lately ?
another thing is i dont always want to chat or been seen as visable, however on msn if you do this people cant contact you.
ok my moan over , only advise i can give you is go over to messenger.

ive never had a problem with msn EVER! i love my msn
where as has given me more problems over the years than anything, i hate and all that it stands for..DIE YA FOOKER! lol
There are so many systems although msn is almost an essential to have, as so many people are on it. But there are many options, the only problem is having to install and run so many different programs to be able to use them all. But there is a solution!
I know people who won't use msn, and people who are just happy with an account elsewhere (aol, jabber, icq, , ) so I have accounts with all of them. It used to be a complete pain and slow my pc down considerably running all of them until I discovered you can get programs that can do all/most of them, integrate with my mail client at the same time and are way more customisable (always a thing in my books) than the programs provided, and skip the advertising too.
's a good one, comes in Linux (the one I use) or Windows, and maybe even Mac flavours. You can give it aliases for your contact names to help you remember who they are - something that always bugs me about some of the clients, whoever someone's signed as, if it's not someone you contact regularly, I sometimes don't know who it is if I've had them on my contacts for a while. Gaim isn't the only one but it's free, open source, and there are a few plugins for doing other stuff with.
The only problem with using non-provided applications for them all is it's can take a while to catch up with new features as msn or whoever add them, and not always as stable. But it beats having 5 or 6 different clients running. Especially if I want to set a particular 'away' message for all of them in one go.
