How did you all get into swinging?

I love the threads where everyone gives their experience, so here is my question.
How did you get into swinging? What started off the idea and if you're a couple who started it and how willingly did your partner agree at first? How much did you research? What were your feelings? Did your views change as you started swinging?
So in true SH tradition, here's our story:
I had been talking to Blue's best mate (very old friends of ours) who had mentioned dogging and we carried on having a brief conversation about outdoor sex/exhibitionism etc. Left it at that. Quick research on the net showed up SH, learned a few things about dogging, only briefly knew about it before.
We were at a party the week alter (last Christmas) and I was in the midst of an all male conversation (all very good friends), being the fllirt that I am we were having a quite sexy conversation. I bought up the subject of dogging, needless to say all the men knew what it was but when polling the girls only one of them did (no surprises there then LOL). Conversation carried on and I was getting really horny.
So more research was done and I found SH and started reading the Forum, fabulous because the forum is free to read when you're too scared to put your email address anywhere! Got hotter and hotter every time I'd read and fantasise. Blue would say "You been on that site again" with a big smile on his face knowing he was getting even more... 69position

We started talking about it and imagining, then role playing in bed, then the conversation got more serious as we went along over a few months. We both started looking around at people in public thinking "Would I?" I started to look at women too and fantasise much more about a bi experience which has been bubbling under the surface a year or two before. Blue gets turned on by the thought of me with another woman (again no surprises there).
So, over the summer we discussed a lot more ( I can be a bit anal (NPI) in such things and over analyse) and decided when back from hols we would pay our years membership and really start getting to know people and take it from there. Blue is totally with me, we are 100% sure that we will only do what we are both comfortable with.
We have a party visit planned to observe and play ourselves and see how we feel. Honestly really not sure if my horniness will be unstoppable or my devils advocate will drop in? Only one way to find out.
So we're still talking and deciding our preferences and limits (although can't honestly say we know what they'll be yet). We're learning quickly and just as an aside thank you all for help either in PM's or on the Forum, we really appreciate it.

Actually we got into swinging tho a total time waster, after just getting my first taste of the internet many moons ago i got chatting to a couple who told us they was into swinging, we talked about it for a while and after many months of talking, not just about sex lol

just chatting as friends as they knew we wasn't swingers, we decided to go and meet them and see how things went, on suggesting this to them the guy finally admitted he was a single male and didn't even swing he just liked the sex chat rolleyes

Me and my ex hubby talked about fantasies one night and I surprised him by saying I wanted to explore my bi side with another woman. I became single after several years.... I knew that I didn't want a relationship and didn't want anything emotional... I looked into swinging to fulfill some of mine and others fantasies and to meet people who are sexually more liberated than my ex was.
I now have a partner and we are both non-monogomous. we swing seperately and together...living on different continents means it is more seperate than together. rolleyes

It adds to our pleasure to discuss our exploits with each other and when we see each other it greatly increases our intimacy.
along the way I have made some good friends... I have had some great experiences. And I have ticked plenty of boxes that I set out to tick........ :P :P
clearly my choice of partner means that my swinging life will continue until I am no longer able to have sex......

We got into it by getting drunk one night with a male neighbour and it just went from there. My wife has the final word whenever we play or not play and I think it is important that someone has control.

Swinging? Sorta fell into it really....

I have always liked looking at personal ads, so one day, googled, and somewhere in the listings, was SH, and this was about a year ago
I then noticed it had a chatroom, so popped in, there was decent chat, good banter, so i went back a second day, and a third.....
my reasons for being here were for friendship, it was all i wanted, these days, as the confidence very slowly rises, im finding that female company is more welcome, and important, and i have started to play a lot more than i did in the beginning
now i find myself going to munches, and enjoying them, as im knowing a lot more people

Much the same as Essex. I'm just here for what ever comes be that nothing or more, I'm not here for a quick shag but just want to have fun here and see what happens. As a single bloke most would say were not swingers but where else is there as good as this place ?
I attended my first munch just a few weeks ago and had such a good time i got my name straight down for two more and will also be attending a smaller social soon.
