Got so pi**ed off trying to post comma p m last night as the site was going so slowly
that i didn't even try to edit my post fullstop
I passed second time in 1997, first officially legal drive was back from the test centre via the M25.
I am an excellent driver! biggrin
I passed second time - 7 months ago!!
on my first test I was perfect, until the last 5 minutes of the test, when the examiner asked me to pull over in a safe place and stop. I did.... happened to be on a bloody great big hill. 'Ok, when you're ready, move off please' he says ..... Dark thinks whahayy, this is it, home straight..... let handbrake off and started to roll back  . Stopped, corrected it, handbrake on...... mirrors, indicators, handbrake off, rolling back  ......stops, corrects it, handbrake back on.......
this went on for a good 5 mins and it was obvioulsy showing by this time that I didnt have a feckin clue what i was doing wrong and it was highly likely we'd be stop-roll-stop-rolling all feckin day ....
so, helpful people that these examiners are had to inform me that ' you do have to put the car into first gear before attempting to move off'. redface surprisedops:
passed with flying colours on my second attempt ...sorted the insurance out the following day and then decided (spontaneous woman that I am  ) that it would be a really good idea to drive to see a mate.....2 junctions down the M1.....in rush hour traffic. :scared: :scared: . Scared meself stupid I did......110 mph sandwiched in the middle lane absolutely kackin me pants. Eventually stopped shaking and drove the long way home !
I still dont do the M1 now if I can possibly avoid it, traumatised meself for life I did. :lol2:

and yes, you are in sooooo much trouble now! :kick: smackbottom next time you want free transportation you can kiss my ass :kissmyarse:
:lol2:

Woops, talk about an own goal lol
However any time you would like your arse kissed or licked let me know :P
I was third time lucky. On my third attempt I was more concerned with getting back to the test centre and getting to a wedding on time to care wether i passed or failed. The tactic obviously worked as I passed that one with flying colours.
It is definately down to luck on the day and the mood of the examiner though. I had different examiners each time and I made more mistakes on the test I passed than on the other two together - although I was wearing a very figure hugging dress for the third attempt lol.
Second time lucky for me.
I know what you mean about motorways Darkfire. :therethere: I used to live in Watford and thought nothing of driving on 4 lane motorways at 70 + mph. We then moved down to Devon 7 years ago and the nearest thing to a rush hour most of the time is either in the town centre or when its milking time on the way to work lol I get really nervous when I go to visit my parents now but after a while I get back into it again.
And my first drive was just anywhere! I'd passed my test!!!

It took me the 2nd time to pass my driving test.....even though I nearly killed a cyclist...!!
I then got into my car, hopped onto the M56 motorway and ended up in Wales..!!
How many times for you and where was your first journey..??
