I sometimes get mistaken as being older or younger than I am............but only a few years out.
But today has taken the biscuit. I have just been offered a stanna stair lift :shock:

How old do people think I am
When I was 25ish I answered the door to one of those election campaigners and he asked me if my parents were in. I told him I didn't know and did he want me to phone them to find out.
My sister-in-law got IDed (sp?) at a petrol station buying cigerettes, baring in mind she'd just filled her car up and her 5 year old was in the back seat.
My hubby went grey at 18 and at the age of about 30 someone offered him their seat on the bus.

I sometimes pick up meds for my best friend who is occasionally housebound. He is 6 months older than me.
I had picked up his prescription but he had to go back the next day to collect some that were late.
The pharmacist said to him "Oh yes, someone came in yesterday for most of this - - - your mother, was it?"
ffs - I know I had gone in after work but I didn't look that ragged. He was concerned about telling me about it, but I fell about laughing.

Last summer three people separately guessed my age as 23! I was chuffed and so adopted it as my imaginary age... to that end, I celebrated my 24th bday (again!) in November and have given my family members permission to knock 7 years off their respective ages too... can highly recommend it, imaginary ages are ace!?!

Well this happenned to a friend of mine and we meet every week at the same bus stop and an other girl gets the bus at the same time.I was in deep conversation about the friends wedding etc which was happeninng at the weekend when this other person popped her head in between us and said oh yes you want to get married before you get too old, how old are you about 40?
the girl in question went deep purple in colour and shouted back actually im only 26!!!!!!! honest to god we couldnt believe it and just had to laugh!!!!

I went to buy a packet of cigs and a bottle of wine the other night and the guy asked me if I was old enough.......at first I thought he was trying some strange attempt at flirting 
Once I stopped laughing he looked at e and said that I needed ID to buy them 
Having not been asked for ID for about 10 yrs I was a bit shocked and then spent the next 5 mins routing through my bag for some form of ID to find the only thing I had on me with a photo was my CSCS card which doesn't have a date of birth on it :? Finally he decided that actually I was old enough and let me have them :)
On the other hand I was sent a letter from Saga Holidays the other day but after the initial shock I read it properly and it was something to do with my national trust membership......but it's nice to know that they assume all national trust members are old enough to go on their holidays :?
