I found myself internetless for a few days, and wow didnt realise how much I depended on it until I didnt have it.
Not just for perving and chatting reasons, but awaiting business responses and just all sorts I kept thinking I will check the net for, but then realised I couldnt.
What would you miss most if you never had the internet?
we were internetless a couple of months ago when we were moving house .... no perving, chatting, facebook, couldnt check the bank, emails, ..... the list goes on .... was a nightmare!!!
i'll let you know on that on, am going off line on the 8th for a whole week,as i'm moving house & virgin cant reconnect me till the 16th don't know how i'll manage lol
dreadfully!! spent 3 days in hospital after my c section, and paid for one of those 'patientline' cards to go in the phone/tv/pc thingymajig attached to each bed, so I could use ebay ( doing my christmas shopping on there!!) and check my mails, particularly my freecycle ones.
ive been without it for a year but did nip too a friends house when i could every 2 weeks just to log on say hi to friends
i managed without it due to what i had collected off the internet so kept me going without the need for it
now i have 3 internet connections at the moment 2 wired, 1 vodafone dongle for laptop
I'd move up north and buy some pigeons.........
I'd go to the Library, read for a bit and then frighten mousey, shy librarians. Chasing them around with the Gibbons Stamp Catalogue or asking if they'd mind reading me the latest copy of "Big Norks" magazine.
Either that or go into a place of worship (any will do, I'm not sectarian in my non-belief... God forbid) and laugh heartily at all the wrong times.
i'd rather go without t.v, microwave, cooker fridge, mmmmm most electrical item in the house but need my interwebthingamjiga
Reading the forums I belong to - an keeping updated with new glass for sale....
not too badly i think just come on outta habit when we have been without its been no biggy
