Bet that got the attention of the ones dozing at the back (If yer didn't know, people hereabouts rate me as vanilla as one can get!)
I'm afraid it ain't as good as Corrie's little deflowering tale - so I apologise fer that but.......
Last night after a little help from an Angel, I entered the Chatroom. Well, I thought that it's about time we brought these two separate parts of the site a little closer together and I'd do me bit.
Jeeez ...... after about 5 minutes I was out of breath, dizzy scared witless that I'd insulted about 10 people and so dazed and confused I went fer a lie down.
I couldn't help laughing when I was told off for shouting when I'd just called BiWelshMinx, BWM dunno

How was I to know you had to whisper her name?
Anyway I enjoyed it and I'm going back in again tonight. Anybody sees choon in there say hi!
Anybody else, who is not a regular Chatter tried it - and what was your experience?

Scary step, innit? I have just begun to use the room, too. If there are too many people in there, then I flounce out for a while.
Just wish I knew how to type all the command stuff.
How does one make it say "Vix buys drinks for everyone", for example?

oohh I want to do that!!! I tried it once and it took me ages to find commands etc. and the posts scrolled sooooooo fast and being such a slow typist that by the time I managed to reply to someone they'd already forgot what i was replying to sad

oh and my typing is crap - typo king me...
but I will be there sometime in the future smile

then I'll show you what I'm made of evil

How d'you pick up on that so quick? You got the radar on or summat? By the way thanks for the welcome last night - it was nice to hear a friendly voice.

secret commands
/nick <newnick> =change nick into something new
/me <message> = action eg *jonathan writes a action
/ignore <nick name> = well i thing the command exlains it!
/notice <nickname> <message> = sends a private message to a chatter which is displayed in the main chat room. this is ideal when you has to say something, but dont really want to chat away from the main room.
there are loads more, but this are the most coman ones

Hehe, I was here looking at something else and spotted it ;)
I think it's great that more forum regs are crossing over into chat as well ;) it can be a laugh in there, even though it does move quickly sometimes but you get used to it. If you use Mirc, you can configure it to highlight your nickname-so in theory you should never miss someone who is talking to you cool

Don't be silly awol you use it if you are leaving the room to get a drink/make a phone call etc
I would type /nick Minx-on-phone for example so chatters know i am unavailable for the moment ;)

The reason I change my nick, is because I registered as Vix and now I like to do what many do and have my name as Vix_122082. Which is my ad number.
Hang on, many do not have the nick Vix_122082, that's just me. But you get the gist, right?

Ideal until you forget to add it at the front (and you will) and send a highly embarrassing private message to the whole room.

get ya ass in there!. its a cool place to be.. over the last few weeks load of Forumer have tried it... even ice pie is in the chatroom as we speak!!!

I keep reading in here how forum regulars are now frequenting the chat room...but none of them are ever there when I go in...place is always full of strangers. :cry:

Well I just spent 20 mins in there. What a friendly bunch! Had a blast - bleeding knackered now though. Definitely recommended.

I have ago every now and then but get frustrated at people "blinging" me without asking, when I haven't even got as far as saying hello.
It also makes me feel sea sick after a few glasses of chardonnay rolleyes

Sorry don't know what the techie term for "blinging" is (Jonothan help me out here), but you catch my drift.
I'll keep trying though 'cause there's some very nice people in there wink

You would type it in the message bar Amber smile

Lets say you registered as BiWelshMinx...lol, then once in chat you wanted to add your ad number to name, you would type /nick BiWelshMinx100742 in the message bar :)
It would show in the chat room that you had changed your nickname and the new one would be the one you are known as.

we love going into the chat room its easy. found it harder to get to grips with this we have started to make so real mates that you can gave a giggle with (BWM)(SHELL)(VIX) to name a few. for us mixing is mixing so we will be in here and in there lol see you soon one way or another lol x x x x
